A&M’s athletic dept doesn’t have more money than LSU’s

I’m not afraid of him as a coach. I’m damn afraid of his recruiting ability and he’s right in our back yard.
You’re a fool if you’re not a little bit worried. Not necessarily because A&M would beat us but because his recruiting ability could weaken LSU against opponents like Alabama and Auburn.

Since Jimbo won his NC he has had a recruiting class ranked in the top 5. Some of those years in the top 3. He went 13-1, 10-3, 10-3 & 6-6 this year in a 2-3 team ACC. It will take him at least 2-3 years to get players to run his offense. A&M has been a finesse team under Sumlin so he’ll have some catching up to do to build that roster. Jimbo is as good of a hire as they could possibly make but he just isn’t going to strike fear into anyone in the West.

There’s only one coach on LSU’s staff that can equal Tim Brewster, (who would come with Jimbo) in recruiting and that’s Corey Raymond. Nobody else can hold his jock. O included.

People are too fixated on this 2018 class right now. Many of those kids are going to get bumped up and LSU will finish near the top 10. It’s 2019 or bust. The cycle in La is loading up for that year.
