im a bagger/stocker at oak point fresh market! Jim hawthorne shops there quite a bit and he came in yesterday! First, i told him that i listened to him whenever i watch lsu highlights on lsusports.net, then I asked him some questions like what it was like to call the games how retirement was treating him! Such a cool guy! I also told him what a great play by play guy he was! Just thought i would share this story!

HOLY COW!!!! My, oh, my!

Jim was truly one of the best in the business and we were blessed to have him as the Voice of The Tigers for so many years.

He was a true professional.

Oak point bag boy class of 07 here. God I miss high school. Bag groceries for 4 hours flirting with all the live oak cashiers then hit up a kegger once I clocked at 9. Good ole days

i met David Duke back in the 70's when i was bagging groceries. He was a student at LSU at the time.
he never mentioned football though!

wrong board.

But, yeah, I saw Duke last year outside of wholefoods in Mandeville. It was like seeing a ghost, but for his age (minus all the plastic surgery), he looked pretty good.

Nonetheless, I held back from telling his old arse off.
