LSU has been all but eliminated from the national title race and doesn't even know it.
Barring 2 of KST, ND, and ORE losing, a 1 loss team is not getting in, sorry.
LSU is out and needs chaos to get back in. If Alabama loses, they join LSU on the outside, but LSU does not go back in.
No 1 loss team, SEC or not, is going to displace an undefeated BCS conference champion. If there is a spot for a 1 loss team, the SEC gets its. But at this point it's not looking like there will be a spot. Sorry.

Until someone can beat the SEC in the BCS title game, the SEC champion should be an automatic qualifier for that game.

We KNOW what you think Scoop, why bother to post it here?

I think the only one loss team with a chance to gt in over an undefeated team is Alabama
So what you are saying is if LSU beats Bama, Bama would not drop below LSU? Damn scoop that's some real suction power, more than last years job!

You must have become a fan after the 2007 national championship. It's dumb to say LSU is eliminated from NC contention at this point. Oregon and ND still have to play USC. Oregon has Oregon State. Kansas State can choke at any time. Oregon and ND have recent track records of choking also.
LSU needs some help, but to say they are out of it is ridiculous. I hope you don't have a ticket to the game Saturday.

Which happens every year in college football. Anybody see Ok State losing to Iowa St last year? Do you think anybody picked that one right? It's college football. The most important thing is that we win Saturday. Then every week after that. To say we are eliminated right now is foolish. Sorry.

Well, if they don't beat LSU, and LSU goes on to win the SEC....I don't see BAMA getting in do you?

Your basic adolescent gump reasoning. Serious ranters: No 1-loss team gets in over an undefeated ND.

But if Bama loses one game, it would most likely be to LSU and they would most likely not get in because they wouldn't have made it to the conference championship.
If Bama loses to LSU (the only team likely to finish post season top 10 on their schedule) what argument would there be for them to be in the championship?

I wouldn't have been surprised to see us left out in favor of a one loss USC or a one loss OU. Our OOC is extremely weak this year and I've had a nasty feeling we'd pay for it. We deserve to pay for it.
Now FSU is our only real one loss competetiion outside the conference, IMO. I dont, however, see us getting in over an undefeated ND or Oregon....maybe KSU.

Wow....
We would have beaten
#1 Bama
#3 SC
Likely top 5 UGA
Top 10 Miss St.
Lost a close one to #2 Florida
Then top 25 teams Texas A&M, and maybe Washington by years end.
Please compare that to K State, Oregon, ND and even Bama and then get back to me.

I could see it if LSU loses to MSU the following week and goes to ATL. But I think a 1 loss SEC champion goes to Miami no matter what.

Only 2 ways bama gets in, either win out, or LSU has to lose to state, ole miss or arkansas so bama gets into seccg against UGA.
