I'd rather that approach than that of some posters who keep making excuses for Hill.
"but but but he only got a blowjob"
"but but but he only knocked a guy out"
Bottom line is Hill fricked up and he deserves whatever punishment he gets.

He did not

And he will be punished. He doesn't deserve to be kicked off the team or be sent to jail though.

Hes was punished for this. He was not allowed on the team for a year.

This isnt even true. He threw one punch and caused no injuries.

Hill threw one punch which is very normal college activity around Reggies. You cant go one night at that place without one punch being thrown. Any normal student and nothing comes of this. He is getting unfairly targeted and then charged and punished purely because of who he is. Taxpayers money is being wasted on this.
I dont expect the guy to get special treatment and be above the law because of playing football for LSU. I also expect that he not be unfairly targeted and punished because of the same thing. He does not deserve to lose what would be a million dollar career due to an assistant DA trying to get their name in the papers.

Lets hurry up and throw the book at a kid who got in a bar fight but dont worry about the gang activity going on a block from where the bar fight happened.

So you've seen the film and according to you, it's nothing, but others who have seen it have another opinion?

How many normal students are throwing punches while on probation?
Hill was given a second chance after the stuff at RHS and he shite on that second chance when he punched the guy.

Really?
Already on probation and you KNOW you're supposed to stay out of trouble?
You're making excuses for this clown.

So, if it that was your 14 yr old daughter, JH getting kicked off the team for a yr for "only a blowjob" would be sufficient punishment? I'm not out to crucify Hill, but let's don't make light of what happened either. Regardless of her sexual experience, she was still only 14 yrs old. CLM has all the facts, as opposed to the ranters here, so I'll trust him to make the right decision once the legal system makes its ruling.

like who? because it sure seems that the LEGAL experts who are paid to review this and decide the appropriate charge didnt see much....simple battery =/= knocking someone the frick out with multiple punches

Well the DA has seen the film and stated the appropriate charge is simple batttery which means there was no serious bodily harm.

Simple battery is a charge. I'm simply talking to those who think it wasn't worthy of a criminal charge.
There are plenty who are in that boat.

It implies an intent to injure. Evidently they think there is enough to charge him. It shouldn't cost him his career, but a couple of games and a wake up call to keep his arse out of bars for a while.

Yep, overreactions in two ways here. Looks like he fricked up and should get the minimal punishment to me but doesn't excuse his poor judgement.

This sums up the majority of the fanbase. Dont look at the situation objectively. Just get pissed off because "dammit if back in 49 if theyda only given me my shot I wouldna screwed it up...Ida been a legend"....they then turn around a couple topics later "Eric Andolsek was one mean sumbitch I tell you what...the football team took care of them at the bar"

Simple battery charge will be plead down to...? This is nothing. He'll be starting against TCU
If his probation is revoked, doesn't he have to serve out the remainder of his two year sentence behind bars?
I expect your coach to kick him off the team if his probation is revoked.

Neither claimed to have seen it personally. Ott knows a lot of people though so who knows which one of his lunch buddies told him about it.
