Say wut? People say it all the time. I respect the fact you are raising your kids up right, but dude many many people says it to each other all the time. Unless you mean in a derogatory manner, then I understand your point...

I know. The word is everywhere from music to television. It has lost its impact of what it meant and stood for over the years because young white Americans quote it from their favorite rap songs. But the way it was supposedly said to Hill isn't the same as quoting a rap song. That is straight up racist.
I'm not the type of black man to go around crying racism on everything, but some people need to watch who they call that word because everyone doesn't take it the same.

As for Jeremy Hill, if he's wrong he should be punished. Whatever agreement he had with Les and his PO was broken, he should be dealt with accordingly. He shouldn't get any preferential treatment because he is the teams leading rusher. All I'm saying is he reacted the way many black men would while being called that word. The fricked up part about it is its a double standard because black people call each other that, but gets pissed when every other race say it. Stop using that ignorant word all together IMO.

I understand but it is said every day by African Americans.

The shite we heard from my parents and what they had to endure by watching their parents get called that word and not being able to do anything about it in those days is sickening. People in 2013 won't take that shite.

It's a fricking word. You can call me cracka all you want, it's not going to have an impact on my life. Some people are ignorant and rude. The fact that those people bother you is crazy.

Those people don't bother me one way or the other. I'm saying you just can't go around saying that word to whom ever you feel like saying it to. Not all black people take it the same.

That word was created by whites during slave days and its meant to be derogatory.

Well you choose to give the word power. You jnow what you don't tell people things in arguments? Things you know doesn't bother them.
But if I know something bothers you...you are giving it power.

Different etymologies I assume and this is probably a question for another board, but what would be considered an equivalent, i.e., a racially motivated derogatory expression from a black to a white?

It's the context it's used in.

LSUIEGRAD13 saying Hill deserved to be called the word because Hill is a douche bag. He gets mad at me for saying you can't go around calling black people that word. He then tells me I need to go to an N word convention to learn about my race and that he's been the last two years

And I'm saying that you can't control what people say, so ignore them. Does A word that some ignorant frick says change who you are or how you feel about yourself?

I understand that. If it's such a horrible word and cuts deep, It might be a good idea for African Americans to not use it so often. FTR, I didn't realize that cracka was a term of endearment.
