Everyone's ignoring the dropped pick 6 on the LSU 20.

If that gets run in, ya'll are running Jennings out of the building right now and we lose.

There is no dressing this pig up. He's just simply not a good QB. I'd love to see one gif/link of him stepping UP into the pocket to buy time instead of backpedaling away from pressure. The pumpers need to lay off. That game was exciting as hell, and I'm sure every single person who isn't going to bat for Jennings was doing their best Rob Ryan impression on that 3rd/4th down stop/INT late.

You can be supportive of LSU and completely abhor the QB play. It's not a hard concept.

Great, so we will have yet another season with an inexperienced QB next year.

If Harris "takes the job next spring" like people are saying now

That's why I think there will be a very remote chance of Harris being the starter next year. You know Les will use the excuse of Harris not having enough gametime experience to replace AJ come week 1.

I know people don't want to hear it but AJ is a quintesential les miles qb. Doesn't have the talent to throw it all around the field so Miles can use that as an excuse to keep using the power I offensive philosophy.

Harris might become the starter in 2 years if he waits patiently and doesn't transfer first

I don't think you quite understand what most people are saying.

Most people understand that he is not the greatest QB, they just realize that he is who the coaches see as the best option right now. What good does it do to beat the guy down? Does it help him or the team? We need to stay positive and let this thing play out a little...

ONE time since he started in the bowl game has he gotten over a 50% CMP...that's not improving. However, like someone said earlier he's our best chance of winning right now in managing the game. The people that are saying he's improving are the same ones that thought his arm strength got better earlier this year...It absolutely hasn't. I'm still pulling for him and hope that he does eventually show improvement though, but the facts show that he isn't right now.

jennings' biggest problem right now is locking in on one receiver and being a little hesitant on letting the ball go when the receiver breaks open. Both of those can be fixed with experienced.

they certainly are not easy fixes

I'd normally agree with you but those two INTs were bad, and almost cost us the game. The defense bailed him out.

Right after his 2nd pick this place exploded. Then after he hands the ball of for 94 yards he's back to being an progressing qb. lol. The rant has the shortest memory when it comes to stuff like that. "Sure, he's the lowest rated passer in the SEC but we won 10-7 so we're good!"

I guess that very timely and accurate completions to Quinn, Fournette, Magee, and Stokes don't mean anything to the win.

C'mon, man...

Yet, if you point that out you're somehow a negatiger.

WTF are you talking about? I never said that Jennings won the job back BECAUSE of his yardage. I implied that he won the job back by default and didn't do anything at all to actually win it back. His performance against AU was not any shining light was the point you fail to get.

Harris had one bad game. Jennings has had more including one complete and utterly horrific performance versus a far inferior opponent.

As I stated earlier the only reason Jennings is in the game is because he is more likely to run the right play. Which is a big deal.

What are your panties in a wad so much for?

Jennings is no better than Jordan Jefferson, unless you see some magic thing nobody else has.

As a "positiger", I prefer to be aware of the negatives and build on the positives. You can't build anything by just harping on the negative all the time.

Like I said I'm pulling for jennings to improve, but you're acting like his 8 total completions were throws that most qbs couldn't make or something. Hell, the magee and stokes throws could be made by half of this board.

There is a huge difference between Jennings and Jefferson. JJ was a winey beotch of questionable character. That is why he never got any better as a QB. In his mind, he was always great. It was always someone elses fault when he failed.

Dude, you give this board way too much credit!

Oh yeah? Because he couldn't do it against Auburn.

This is a tired argument. If we are going to judge worthiness on one outing Jennings should have had his QB card taken away permanently for that dump he took on the field for NMST. It was a fantastically inept performance at home against the cupcake of cupcakes.

Yep, all these mouth breathers defending 8 of 16, 142 yards, 1 TD 2 INT as anything short of an above miserable performance just don't get it. It's like people just want to accept mediocre to bad QB play because we're so damn used to it. "But he made this or that good throw" - yeah well he didn't really play much better than he did when we got blown out 41-7.

The fact is if we lose to Ole Miss anyone and everyone will point to ineffective QB play. On our 1 TD drive which went 94 yards Jennings was responsible for 3 yards, THREE yards.

The defense absolutely won us the game, we only put up 3 more points than we did against Auburn.

Did you watch the game? I ask because if any team was fortunate, it was Mississippi. If not for our turnovers and missed interceptions, the Rebs lose badly.
