Winston was a rs freshman when he started.

No, I'm not trying to stir up anything. It's just what I've read. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

As I mentioned earlier, I'd like to see Harris play more than he has been but for some reason, he isn't. Why? Who knows.

But to dump on Jennings because of what another player did, years ago, isn't fair to Jennings. That's all I'm trying to point out. That's fair enough.

So now LSU plays those that work harder over those that play better?

Call me crazy but I prefer the better players in tbe game.

Probably because it's is like 2 statements with no context.

I've seen it posted 3x on different boards so far and this is still all I have read.

Not mad at Jennings

The nustsac suckers may have a hard time explaining this one. And right out of the horses mouth at that. I still have a bundle of cash on who will will be the starting qb next year, but now I damned sure won't find any takers. No competition. Just fricking great.

No competition = no progression. If nobody is pushing him for the starting job, I can see why he hasn't improved.

Poetic justice, would be for Jennings to have just unknowingly convinced "OSU's best QB" Braxton Miller to transfer to LSU, bet you're singing a totally different tune then chump.

This. Would love to see a little humble pie being served here.

It'll be Jennings. And he will be in 2016 as well. Is that what you're thinking?

Yeah, I'm not going to jump on the guy for this quote without the whole context of what he was saying. But, I'm having a hard time finding a context to where it doesn't come off badly.

Just cause a coach doesn't play a kid you want him to or run the O you prefer, that doesn't make him "ignorant" or "stubborn".

Why people keep up with this "if he could have somewhat of a pulse on offense" BS less than a full season after seeing LSU send a QB, RB, and 2 WR to the pros to have pretty good 1st seasons in the NFL is beyond my understanding. The LSU passing game in 2013 was probably the best, or close to it, that we have seen in 15 yrs. We threw the ball successfully all over the freaking field less than a yr ago, but Miles is stubborn. How does that even begin to match up?

While I agree that LSU QBs were limited in their ability a number of seasons recently, I don't agree that they always "suck" or never show "improvement" or that they have been totally responsible for every failure.

Reasons listed in no particular order by LSU fans on T.D. why Jennings is among the worst passers in college and in LSU history.

1. Jennings can't complete passes consistently because LSU coaches are not letting him have all the reps with the no1 offense.

2. Jennings was just an option QB running a simple offense, he can't adapt to a pro style offense that is too complex and requires him to think quickly when passing the ball.

3. Jennings doesn't have the talent and never will.

4. LSU can't consistently develop QB's.

LSU fans can now rule out no.1!

Well let's face it, Harris got his chance and he failed to take advantage. I mean if Harris is mad about those comments, go win the job. Simple.

can't win the job if he isn't on the field

also...
every position should be CONSTANTLY COMPETING for their spot.
this sense of entitlement is ridiculous considering the production from anthony jennings at the QB position in 2014

Brandon is a good kid and hard worker. So is AJ. AJ is further along in the development process.

Last time I remember he was on the field it didn't turn out too well.

I don't like AJ's comments. But I also don't think Harris should be promoted just for shites and giggles. He had a chance to prove it on the field and he didn't.

And Jennings against that same team? How about the week before against NMST at home? The one where he had the worst start to a game that the stadium has likely ever seen. What's your reasoning for him getting back in a week later and Harris never getting another shot?

Didn't look as bad as AJ vs NMSU.
