A Jenning's 8 is like an IRL OT 2.

Why do yall lean towards conspiracy instead of good ol incompetence

ETA: probably what happened is that the police thought they could kind of ignore it and then the bodies kept showing up and most likely whoever was doing it got caught in the act and killed by some pimp type

Close to my theory as well. Not all had any signs of trauma and I firmly believe they weren’t all connected other than general lifestyle and circumstances.

Either LEO or that snitch/pimp guy killed a girl (possibly the first of the 8, or one previous), and the rest of the victims were witnesses or talking about it on the streets and were subsequently killed. Certain LEO and the snitch were in it together out of self preservation. It wasn't a serial killer like Manhunter; more a serial killer like LA Confidential.

Dave Robicheaux and Clete could have solved it.

That guy was more illustrative of how fricked up and corrupt many of the LEO and system of that parish were at the time.

These cops used and abused the druggie prostitutes of Jennings in all sorts of fricked up ways, and certain criminals were given passes to act similarly due to their value in snitching.

Just because an LEO was dirty or a creep in JDP at the time, even if that sociopathy overlapped with these girls, doesn't mean they necessarily took direct part in the killings.

Jeff Davis Parish was just an incredibly dirty, shitty place with an even worse governmental/judicial/legal system

I always thought the killer was a white collar guy with advanced education that was familiar to the area. You could tell he considered himself an intellectual and was a bit of a contrarian

That only explains 5 of them. Who killed the other 3?
