It is people like you have have stretched this issue out.

YOU won't just say "yes it was wrong" and move on - and obviously it was wrong because he had to be upset going through the whole criminal process and risking his senior year

Why is this even happening with no apology?

Haha I can't figure it out either. You call a press conference so you can say " I'm sorry to everyone for being a distraction, I take responsibility and it want happen again. I'm now looking forward to doing whatever I can to help this team win the MNC. "

It's just a formality really, like Tiger Woods.

Yet he is quoted saying the goal is starting, Miles will start him this year, I just feel it.

Oh absolutely. Its just amazing how shitty of a job they are doing in orchestrating it.

It goes both ways, so people werent trying so hard to paint this guy as a scum bag, thug, and going to ruin the season?

couldnt disagree with you more. The sole reason being these two play two extremely different games. a huge percentage of JJs plays, Lee cant run. Lee could have had most of the starting reps in the offseason, instead of 25% or whatever his portion was. Lee himself even admitted he's gotten better since the Oregon game as coaches have been working with him on his mechanics.

Barring inside knowlege of the off season program, your statement is mere speculation. Would Lee have not gotten better with more practice regardless of who started? I think that all of the players have gotten better with practice. That is really a porus argument.

Very true, it's almost TOO obvious.

This season will define Miles' career. It could go either way...

Jefferson on his resume: "I have a 20-7 record

Make that 18-9 if Lee doesn't bail him out vs Tennessee and Florida. Heck, if we're going to single out who won what games, I vote for Patrick Peterson and Tyran Mathieu to get a victory in the West Virginia game as well.

Of course not. And, he shouldn't.

NOT for some silly "he needs to be punished more" point of view. But, because Lee has been very successful leading the team and has EARNED the starter's role.

Simple as that. Things can change, but there is NOTHING apparent right now in that regard.

The idiots on here feel he has served his time and should be given the keys to Baton Rouge because he was treated so harshly...nevermind that even if he hadn't gone out that night then he is still a sub-par QB

Jefferson to speak with media after practice you think him saying sorry is gonna keep people from booing him? I only know this is going down cus im on the rant, and not everyone that sits in dv reads the rant.

I don't think the anti-JJ crowd really cares about the apology. If he apologized, they would find something wrong with it. He is in a no win situation with ranters who want him gone from the team, and from the conspiracy theorists who see every move as a diabolical plot to make JL the no. 2 QB.

JL is the no. 1 QB, and based on his play this season, he should be. Miles would have far more problems with team unity and dissent if he booted JJ off the team or denied him the opportunity to play. And as JJ does not have a history or reputation as a troublemaker, I see no reason not to support Miles' handling of the situation. We can agree or disagree with specific play calls or decisions about when to use JJ, but I see no reason to have a meltdown about JJ playing or being on this team. It is time to move on. Accept the fact that he is a part of this team and he is a Tiger.

Ok I concede to you. Anyone going through the criminal process should have no stress and be upset. Everyone that is arrested and put through the criminal process is automatically guilty ao they should relax.

Oh dope me! I have this Constitution thing stuck in my head.
My bad.
