“I definitely feel the same way. A lot of people out there don’t think I can throw the ball. In many instances throughout my career, I definitely proved that, especially playing Alabama all those years and playing Arkansas when they was No. 3 at home, I threw the ball 29 times for 250 yards. I’ve proved that a lot of times throughout my career, but the system that I’m in kind of keeps me away from throwing the ball like that consistently. I came from a Pro Style offense in high school where we threw the ball very often. Coming to LSU, they noticed my athletic ability so me running the ball was always an option in the offense. Now that I’m in an NFL system to where I’m throwing the ball a lot, I’ll definitely be improving my throwing ability.”

He had an interview on a radio station this morning where all he did is point blame for the BCS game at everyone else and basically throw the coaches under the bus. Not exactly going away bro. It bothers me b/c it was a month ago and then he's on the radio rehashing that shitty game
Amen

This was obvious with his comments after he was reinstated.

Yea, does he have even one game where he looked like he was a passer? He got numbers because he had so much talent around him that they carried him. He NEVER was able to look at 3rd and 4th options and make good throws to them.
Hell, look in the NCG, even his short throws looked so uncomfortable (par with his career) while AJ passes looked effortless. JJ will not make it in the pro's and he will fall hard when he either realizes it. (Maybe he won't even realize that)

Saban was stacking 9 in the box because he didn't respect JJ as a passer. Kind of difficult for 6 to blocck 9.
safeties stayed at 12 yards or deeper. Was never more than 7 in the box. Not making excuses, just clearing up misconceptions
This dumb frick has been saying this forever. He has no football knowledge whatsoever.Good post 7th

LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson believes the major reason the Tigers suffered the first shutout in BCS title game history, losing to Alabama in a 21-0 rout on Jan. 9, is because of the offensive game plan.
Jefferson second-guessed the offensive play calls in an interview with Atlanta radio station WCNN on Thursday. He said he would have changed some play calls if he'd been able to.
"I definitely didn't expect for (the title game) to play like that," Jefferson told WCNN. "Alabama was a little bit more prepared than us. There was a lot of things that we should've did different to catch a rhythm on offense. To win a type of game like that, you've got to win all three phases -- offense, defense and special teams -- and we just didn't get over that hump to winning those phases. We kind of fell short in that game."
Jefferson felt the Tigers needed to spread Alabama out more. He also revealed that several plays the team prepared were never used.
"At times we put ourselves in the hole as far as putting ourselves in second- and third-and-long," he told WCNN. "Being in that type of third-and-long situation against an Alabama team and a defense like that, you're going to fall short every time."
Jefferson felt LSU didn't make the right adjustments during halftime to come out for the second half. He finished the game with 53 yards passing, an interception and 15 rushing yards.
"When we came in at halftime we discussed what we needed to do different as far as moving the ball and getting in a rhythm," he told the radio station. "... You have to have certain plays for these certain types of defenses they were running. We talked about making the adjustment and the adjustment that we made wasn't the adjustment that we needed to make to get the momentum and the rhythm going."
Jefferson wanted to "put the ball in different passing areas, use our talent on the receiving side."
"... We have great guys in those areas and sometimes we just wonder why we don't use those guys," he continued on WCNN. "But we're not the one calling the plays. We still have to go out and execute what the coaches and coordinators are calling. We can't complain as players, but sometimes we do question that.
"It's a learning situation for us, a learning situation for the LSU football team and I definitely expect to see us back in the championship next year."

I thought so too. So why are threads about it getting anchored or wacked?

JJ sounds really intelligent in that quote. If he still hasn't gotten the whole subject-verb agreement thing down, I really wish he wouldn't mention having attended LSU. I mean, if he wants to talk about play calling, that's fine by me. It's just mental gymnastics to repair his ego.

probably a jj fan in admin.
could be stickied, but so many postings, they keep falling to the bottom.

Much agreed.
I have no axe to grind with JJ. By all means there are legitimate criticisms of his play and especially in the latter part of the season and his leadership (as evident in this interview), but IMO the animosity needs a screeching halt.
What was new in the interview (and which confirms what was said by others) is that the game plan was to spread Bama out (with 4 and 5 wide sets) as did Utah in the '09 Sugar Bowl.
This would have been great but did we even try this?
