No one works hard in Louisiana. That’s how you end up with live tigers at football games as a priority.

At this point just put LED screens on the side of the mobile cage and make a computer generated Mike the Tiger
Just put a hologram setup in the cage and sound system.. the have hologram zoos now…

If the State of La. is going to double down on stupid , Jeff Landry is the right person. He is gifted in that arena and has a tremendous amount of experience. He will not let us down.
My thought on this matter is: everyone involved with this has bigger fish to fry and if they don’t they should

Because it’s a flipping tiger that won the tiger jackpot and who cares? Its whole existence here is for our collective amusement in the first place. And who made you an expert on Tiger psychology? Reading what article made you a Tiger psychologist?

Typically, among first time bar exam participants, LSU passes about 90%, Tulane and Loyola, 75% and Southern 50%. Don't know Landry's exam history, but he is no scholar.

You sound like the type of person who kicks dogs.

It’s sort of common sense. Putting a solitary wild animal in that environment is probably going to cause stress. You’ve shown you don’t care about the wellbeing of animals though so that doesn’t bother you.

All these people crying about the Governor has more important things to work on must think that he can only devote his time to one issue. My first game in Tiger Stadium was in 1980, and I would welcome the return of Mike to the games. It was awesome.

Look I’m not saying this isn’t stupid, but I do wonder why pita only cares about tigers. What about all the other live mascots that are brought into stadiums. Bevo for instance, or the Auburn Eagle.

I think he is the only one that really wants a tiger on the field.... personally, I don't care and don't think it would be that entertaining.
When was your first game in Tiger Stadium?

The governor recalled his days on campus, when Mike VI was the on-campus mascot, and how he'd like to return to the days when Mike could intimidate opposing teams. This not a direct quote and likely summarized by the article writer. Jeff did not say "I remember when I was at school here"...
Oh thank you. For a second I thought Landry was just engaging in shallow pandering to lowest common denominator with a cheap stunt en lieu of doing anything productive.

While this may be true he's returned to this issue a few times over. That should be alarming

With one exception, all of the Mike Tigers lived beyond the life expectancy of a captive tiger and much longer than a wild tiger.
Mike 1 lived to be 21 years old, and that cat travelled to away games, was stolen by Tulane fans and was in an auto accident. That MF'er liked to travel.
Mike 2, died early.
Mike 3 lived to be 20 years old and died of sorrow for the first LSU losing season.
Mike 4 lived to be 21 and loved loading up for the games.
Mike 5 lived to be 18 years old and died of renal failure
Mike 6 not date of birth, but was Mike from 2007 - 2016 died of cancer. Attended games.
Mike 7, still alive.

yes, we can't be having a West Point grad be Governor. We need a politician like Landry.

Ahh…another self-anointed expert on Tigers because you read an article.
Tell me this, Tiger King. Does having thousands of fat noisy fans pressed against his habitat glass on game weekends stress him out too or did the article not tell you what to think about that aspect of his captivity?

You mean his 15,000 square foot habitat where he doesn't have to be anywhere near people if he doesn't want to be?

Says the guy who still voted for JBE after he went out statewide TV threatened to shut the LSU football program down, unless he got more money to spend
That was way more alarming

I was done with JBE the very second I heard that come out of his mouth. And I liked Landry coming at him all the time for it.
But then it has become apparent that Landry was not doing it for the right reasons - it was purely self-serving, look at me pandering, and the more I hear from him the more it becomes sadly apparent that almost everything he does and says is.
