Doctors give opinions on people's health all the time. You can take their word for it, or seek other opinions. If it's the opinion of vets then I'd say that is the most educated opinion we can get.
Some dumbass made a huge thread about this in the off-season. He was actually reaching out to get other opinions. He never returned to the thread to give us those opinions he was seeking, so he likely didn't find the answers he was thinking he would get and abandoned the thread.
If you need a law written for each and every little thing perhaps California is a better place for you.
