JD is the only viable candidatt from the south. He’ll get the vast majority of media votes from the southeast. Nix and Penix will split the west coast votes. Us JD5 fans should hope that Penix and Nix play an even game statistically Friday night so that the votes remain split. Geaux JD!

He is the best college football player and accomplished things that college football had not seen before. I have no doubt he is the Heisman winner and it is not even close.

I can almost guarantee that some spiteful fricks from the SEC will vote for Milroe.

1. Nix and Penix aren’t splitting votes
2. They’ll vote Nix 1, Penix 2 and Daniels 3 to push Daniels further down in total votes.

I thought it wasn’t a ranking type vote only a single vote and you either got some number1 votes or you didnt

Yep and I think some will note vote for JD5 due to SEC fatigue and some won’t because they are still mad at BK and don’t want to see him with a Heisman winner his second year at LSU. Sounds petty but it is the media we are talking about. They should all have to write a justification for their vote.

"JD is the only viable candidate from the south. He’ll get the vast majority of media votes from the southeast. Nix and Penix will split the west coast votes."

That still leaves two-thirds of the total 870 media votes that are more difficult to predict.

The ideal ballot for us is 1.) JD - 2.)Harrison, Jr. - 3.) someone else not named Nix or Penix.

As I discussed in the other thread, it's possible that if Nix has a tough go of it this weekend, that either he or JD gets the most 1st place votes and the other one wins the Heisman.

Penix shouldn’t even be considered for top 2 votes he’s been very average at best since the Oregon game

As long as Daniels is in their top 3 and Nix and Penix are left off.

You vote for your top three. Top vote gets three points, second guy gets two and third guy gets one point. All votes tally to totals. So technically a guy that gets the must first place votes may not necessarily be the winner.

He is also a west coast kid. It’s possible that some voters in Cali will want to see him win it.

This is my concern and why we need Penix to have a better game and possibly grab some of Nixs first place votes. A decent number of voters out west will put Daniel third no matter what.

In the end I think Nix may win it because of how many second place votes he gets, which is weird.

My ballot:

1. Daniels
2. Daniels
3. Daniels

Because they’re SEC? I don’t see this happening. Bo Nix “resume” is too good and Heisman is apparently not about the best player. The criteria should be top 10 or 15 teams get considered, and then leave records / playoffs out of it after that.
