And I wouldn't say less competition, but more so not the checkbook to keep stacking older/experienced players on top of them- so a real chance to compete for a job. Cause if I pay you, I am playing you...which leaves the younger players in the same position year after year.

not opposed to the kids getting compensated but of course it has gotten way bigger than we could have imagined. Now you have dudes not wanting to leave college anymore because it is a job and they can stick around college baseball for 5-6 years with the right eligibility.
