SEC play will equate to desperate throws/interceptions and fumbles.

I was referring to our other option at QB, not suggesting Southern and MSU are on the same level

Maybe they wanted to hide things in the southern game?

told JD to tuck and run more than throw on purpose

You’re assuming he can hit any throw at any time and that the defense will play in a way that fits into our favor. That’s just not the case, optimally you want to defend a running QB with zone so everybody can keep their eyes forward for as long as possible. You vacate the areas he doesn’t like to go to, try and bait him into his comfortable areas and use extra guys to trap that. We saw this happen with Max last year just in a different manner but it applies to any QB who doesn’t play the position the way it’s meant to be played.

Couldn't trust it, Boutte might have dropped it again, he was still suffering from mental issues.

90% of the people b*tching about him never wanted him to win or thought he could win the job in the first place and now they can't get over the fact that he's our best QB. They are running out of thread material.

So you’re on the record that a run-first QB can win in the SEC.

We’re talking about Jayden, not Nussmeier.

LOL. AS if he will not improve any more. These arm chair QB's are hilarious. If you commit people to him you are creating weaknesses in your defense. If there is a LB assigned to him and they bring a receiver across the middle and he steps up like he's going to run and the LB steps up it creates a seam for the receiver to get open. You think the OC hasn't thought about that? and if he takes the receiver it opens up the run lane. A QB like him is a nightmare for DC's and he is the perfect QB for a team breaking in a new young OLine. FL ST may not be a top 20 team but they aren't a bottom 20 either. There were some NFL athletes on that team and was the first game. If he continues to improve throwing on the run the ceiling is VERY high for him.

He will be fine.

Nuss showed why he isn't ready yet. still trying to force plays when he doesn't have to. has great arm but needs better decision making skills and missed many open receivers.

I think Nuss was trying to “impress” on every play. He was pressing & trying to make huge splash type plays instead of just taking what the D was giving him.

Hopefully when Nuss is inevitably needed later this season he will be able to calm himself down & just let his natural ability take over so he can just play football.

By "that will be that" I assume you mean that Daniels will shred them in the air, correct?

I actually like it.His vision is good when he takes off.He sees a lane and he is gonna get a lot of 1st downs and keep drives alive.

There's a reason the staff made it a priority to keep him throwing and not taking off so much in the last game. Its a great option to have but you throw the ball if the opportunity is there.

You'll not see game one Jayden again.

Why commit a couple of guys to Jayden when the offensive line cannot block and they are getting to him anyway?

Boutte was so open. No one within 10 yards of him.

He doesn't see that the WR will be open before he is open. When we play better DBs, it is too late at that point. Combine that with poor Oline and not much to fear in the rushing game and it will be a tuff season.

These things can all be true:

Daniels is not adept at seeing the openings in the zone and anticipating the throws.

Daniels can improve this ability. He will need to if LSU is going to beat some of the better teams on our schedule.

Even if he doesn’t improve this, he’s still pretty good and by far the best option we have at QB.

His running ability allows Daniels to be inefficient at passing and still effective at times.

Everybody good?
