One, his grade is deserved and two, PFF is a complete joke when it comes to position grading.

I’m sure you have a better scouting system in place

How did you like J D’s 3800 yards of total O, 28 total touchdowns, a 69% completion mark, beating Bama, winning the West and having a lot to do with a 10 win season??

Did I mention beating Bama and winning the west..lol Do you know how often we’ve done those two things without having a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback in the last 11 years so until this season?? Never

was 25/34 (73.5%) in the Florida State game for 209 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT You also ignore that he rushed for 114 yards

Almost half of those passing yards came on the last 2 drives.
It's like some of you actually believe the lack of a passing game for most of a game has no affect on the outcome of a game.

Literally 59 passing yards and 53 rushing yards from JD came on the very last drive of game( a 99 yard drive).

in reality Jayden is a good QB but he needs to be better if we want to take the next step.

This is where I land. He does get too much flack on here which make some posters defend even warranted criticism like holding onto the ball too long or not testing defenses deep or intermediate.
I think he will be better in 2023 and I hope they game plan to his strengths. No more 40 times dropping back to pass.

Loved it. I think he will improve with a bit of stability during the off season for the first time in his college career.

don’t like the way JD can’t read defenses

Why do posters say shite like this? You're not making it to qbing at lsu if you can't read a defense. You think Kelly is starting a qb against Alabama if he can't read a defense?

because posters on this site will go back and re-watch LSU football games and see him not make reads, not throw to open receivers, keep on a run option when he should hand off. Then, they come here and say it.

there's youtube channels dedicated to chopping up game footage and studying what the QB does in a game. people who post here watch that stuff.

The lsu fanbase has to be the only one I’ve ever seen that literally melts about good news regarding their division winning starting QB. It is truly amazing to watch
. Louisiana peoples don’t know how to be happy.

And those other programs have a running game to compliment the QB. JD is the running game.

Those posters don't have all 22 film and know the play called. They are chopping up a TV broadcast.
You have no fricking clue what his reads are without knowing the play.

There is a difference in not trusting what you see or missing reads on a certain play and not being able to read a defense.

No qb that makes it to qbing at major program CANT READ DEFENSES. That's just a fact.

You think Kelly or Saban is starting qbs that can't read a defense?
You think Kelly isn't sitting in film with daniels and showing him what he sees?

As if you can beat Alabama and win the west with a qb that can't read a defense. That's fricking laughable
regardless of your "YouTube" coaching.

When you tout that a qb isn't a reason a team loses and then site his final stats for that reason... well those stats get broken down.
IF you dont think a qb getting half his rushing stats and a quarter of his passing stats on the last drive of the game isnt indicative of why a team would lose.... I dont know what to tell you.

I was at that game and could see the whole field.

The play calling changed dramatically from the first half to the second half.

Jayden wasn’t great in the first half but he was the least of my worries at halftime.

We had 3 pts at the half.
He was one of the reasons we didn't win the game is my point.
How much of a reason can be debated.

Not really. Just don't have games where you throw for 80 yards.
Throw for more tds than Jordan Jefferson did in 2009.
There are no run 1st qbs winning any titles of significance at the collegiate or professional level.
If JD can get more consistent with his passing the sky is the limit for 2023 lsu...
