To me Burrows big leap Junior to Senior year was less about his ability getting better. (he always had the talent) The big leap happened because of his leadership in the locker room, summer workouts, and grinding in the football building. He was the clear alpha dog and pushed everyone to get better. JD has the chance to also be the alpha dog leader of this coming season. The chance to work harder then everybody else. The chance to grind all year in the football opps building and lead his team to a championship.

Burrow never frustrated me his Junior
season. In fact I thought he did well at the end of the season.

Curious as to why Jayden turned off comments on that twitter post

He probably knows that his on-field performance is a little polarizing, and he's turning off the noise.

Good on him. He's not lacking in character and fortitude.

Probably because the “johndeere’s” and “SMD’s” of the internet are hurling insults at him like deranged lunatics because their fee fee’s are hurt

Exactly. The dude played multiple QBs if need be. He's going to play the one who gives him best shot to win right now. For whatever reason it's not Nuss and tRant thinks they know more than the coaches who watch it in practice every single day. Nevermind the fact he's screaming at you with his small sample size why the coaches won't play him over JD. Nuss TO rate compared to touching the ball is staggeringly high. Go look at the numbers. I can fully see why he does not have the starting job. Until he cleans that up in his system he's going to be riding the pine.

Nuss has a pretty deep ball. Zero question about it. But he has also displayed his flaws. Jayden has flaws too but he played pretty well in the season and we won a lot more games than anyone expected

Sometimes a int 40 yards down field is a better situation than a sack on 3rd down from holding on to the ball and being backed up. Jayden needs to let it rip next season stop being so damn predictable but part of that is coaching.

i was on the lsu sideline for the texas am game and this man had at least 10 wide outs open that game.. thomas was wide open in the end zone in that game and daniels just ran.. thomas just put his hand down in disbelieve.. don’t worry walker will be the qb in 2023.. i saw enough of daniels in the am game… don’t come on here saying he been working with the receivers in cali again and got it together.. i don’t want to hear that crap..

Bro scouts already have him graded. Did you not watch the games this year or hell, Georgia? He threw for 200 yards against an elite defense in first half. He was forced to because he was on 1 leg. He has the ability. The dude just needs confidence. Whatever mentally is slowing him down, JD needs to fix it because the ability is there. Will he? Who knows but this board acts like we have Anthony Jennings back there throwing which was absolutely hopeless.

Jokes aside, I hope this staff doesn’t throw away the future by prioritizing JD5 and Nuss over Howard.

In the days of the transfer portal, there is zero guarantee a guy will stay at the university. There have been multiple multi-year starters who still transferred. That's not something that coaches can help.

It's idiotic to try and appease a freshman who isn't yet the best of his position, just because you're scared he may later transfer.

RIP the passing offense. See yall in 2024/2025.

JD just turned in the #8 most passing yards ever in a season by an LSU player, without the bowl game yet. Likely will end up at least #5.

You are a joke.

Welcome back JD

Sweet, can’t wait to watch him throw 10 yard come back routes to Malik Nabers.
Super stoked. Glad to see we’ve got a QB who can really maximize all that talent and depth in the WR room. I’m honestly surprised that he didn’t go pro with how well he played this year. His ability to read defenses and get the ball down field is awesome. Really looking forward to next year.

This board is beyond fricking retarded

Everyone else laughs at us wanting to push him out the door while others praise his ability and scouts rave about his ceiling. Only LSU fans would find a way to point the door towards a QB who set records this year and beat Bama then Florida/Auburn on the road which is historically very difficult for LSU to do.

This is the only place that seems to think he can't get better at his flaws. He was a semi-finalist for best QB in country award and will be on a heisman watch list next year but people want him gone. Unbelievable.

Gotta get that second string QB out there tRant special after giving up on Nuss seeing how horrible he was early in the season. Comes in, decides to show boom side again WE MUST START HIM despite him making a good 5 or so bad reads in that Georgia game that could've easily went the other way. Maybe just maybe he has inconsistencies like JD and those flaws are bigger because he's going to turn it over.
