Wondering if Myles is still injured and they're not saying much. Or easing him in. Regardless, they'll probably let him run 1st team offense too this is pretty routine assuming there isn't something else going on here. Myles may never have fully recovered to that freak injury. Reports were he had a difficult time healing too. I find it hard to believe this guy is just going to come in and kick Myles out the door.

I think Daniels has potential but if he's our starter we're going to have a rough season. It will be him growing into an SEC QB role and then maybe he'll reach his potential next year. If anyone thinks this raw talent is going to come into the SEC and do great immediately you're in for a rude awakening. I just can't see it. He had a lot of rough edges at his previous stop. It will take him awhile to develop especially in the SEC.

Throwing motion. He as a nice quick delivery.

Accuracy. I know it's just practice and game time defenses can effect QB accuracy a lot but he is being accurate when he should be.

If we are talking about the same video, the first 3 throws were out routes within 10 yards of the LOS. Those throws are designed to be quick and easy.

Yeah Myles still looks a little out of shape too. But it’s very early.

Hopefully he has the ability to compete enough in the spring and sticks around regardless.

Does anyone else think Arizona state ran a "ball controll" offense because maybe they didn't trust daniels to throw the ball? Maybe he ran so much because he had a hard time going through his progressions? Or
USC game
He was very inaccurate in this game, his 2 picks were his fault not the receivers. He throws high, he throws behind his recivers and he overthrows the deep ball.
The 2019 sun bowl against fsu is another example of his inaccuracy, they could have won that game easily but he missed on some end zone shots.

Just doubt they brought JD here to be a backup. And I’m fairly certain he would not transfer somewhere to ride the pine.
Kelly knew what he had and he saw the film on JD. Then he went out and got him.
It’s his job to lose.

There is definitely no starter yet. Really stupid to think otherwise. BK didn’t go around promising anyone anything.

It could be anyones job. But Daniels has had the best spring stuff released and according to some, has taken the most reps. I’m still waiting on some good Brennan video because I haven’t seen any.

This is where we are at in spring, 2 practices in.
Day 1 rotation:
1st-brennan a
2nd-nuss b
3rd-Howard c
4th-daniels d
Day 2:
Daniels a
Howard b
Nuss c
Brennan d
Day 3 will probably rotate back to Day 1
I believe Kelly said guys a&b would run with the first team and c&d with the 2nd
We are only seeing small tidbits of video from a 90 minute practice, these media guys covering practice are moving around to different areas of practice to get as much coverage as they can. And some of the drills are run before media availability.

This looked like team offense and defense. So there probably wasn’t much else going on. And we have video of Brennan. Just nothing really showing anything.

But yes of course. This is only based on two practices. And I, like some in the thread, are just enjoying the competition. And are discussing based on the information we have. Anyone who says they know for sure who the starter will be is not really saying that. They’re just giving their opinion. Which is fine. It’s all just discussions.

Beautiful deep throw in that BYU game.

He’s got a lot of experience. A lot of read option experience, which I’ve seen included in Denbrocks offense. Probably why he looks so much better in that 11 on 11 drill. It was a lot of read option.

cool. LSU isn't the NFL so I don't see how this matters.

My only issue with Daniels is his size. If Brennan transfers, I would be pretty surprised if Daniels made it thru an SEC schedule without getting nicked up.

Brody reported on AFR that Daniels looked a little indecisive on a couple of throws and tucked the ball and ran. It looked like to him he has a little difficulty going through his progressions on those plays.

Also said that in terms of communication that Brennan was clearly the leader on the field.

Reported that Slone was animated with a high level of detailed QB coaching.

Finally said that it's probably good that Walker is red shirting. Walker needs to add 10 pounds of good weight.

Comments were all with the caveat that it is early.

Really like coaches yelling get up field each time. Fight for every yard.
