The only thing I didnt like out of Bilas was his saying that if these wins are vacated, Maryland players should be mad bc it robbed them of an opportunity to move on to the sweet 16. Cmon dude.

I agree that Jay Williams is an incessant whiner, but I think you might have buried the lead. I am more interested that Bilas actually pointed out the hypocrisy. And to a fellow Duke alum, no less.

I think the assumption the wins will be vacated to be very premature given what we know right now.

But where does it end? Are they going to vacate Dukes wins after the shite storm that would be created if the NCAA did that to LSU? Who else ? I don’t think the NCAA touches this with a 10 ft pole. There won’t be any wins vacated

Losing the game robbed Maryland of a sweet 16 opportunity. Not some hypothetical ruling from the NCAA several months or years from now.

How many Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4, and Championships were robbed throughout history due to this? Especially the blue bloods, who seem to get a pass.

Yes, a journalist broke the story, the the tape is the issue, not the opinion of some pundit. Our admin isn’t reacting to idiot talking heads. Theyre reacting to potential NCAA sanctions.

Funny how everyone knew Wade had been subpoenaed as a witness and LSU was named in the FBI investigation, but the admins weren't concerned about the NCAA then.
Suddenly a story breaks about a wiretap we haven't even heard in its entirety, and the admins are magically worried, even though the NCAA hasn't officially opened an investigation into anything yet. That's an unquestionable reaction to the talking heads.
