Anyone hear Jay mentioned they were going to carry a few extra pitchers in the roster this weekend so not to be surprised to see Guidry or Anderson playing somewhere in the field?

Interesting comment… where would Anderson play if he was put in the field?

Anderson has experience playing out field as well.

That’s what I figured. Didn’t he have a pretty legit bat in HS?

He also said he was joking around when Hester followed up on it

I'm pretty sure he raked. He's a fricking stud. I think. Looks like it to me for sure.

I think this is Jay's way of putting everyone on notice and that anyone can be replaced at any time.

Our fielding hasn't been great, but if we can't do something besides hit solo HRs in SEC series and continue to have bad pitching performances after Holman and Herring, it doesn't really matter who plays in the field.

I say that based on not being confident that Anderson and Guidry would give you any more production at the plate.

Not sure what to take from it. I heard it too, and I’m all for trying new things to get results.

Have to appreciate that Jay isn’t giving up or stuck just waiting for things to click.

That would make more sense.

Will Hellmers is going to push Tommy White for playing time at 3B.

Musso thinks Sutton is going to turn into Mariano Rivera

He's certainly been trying everything.

This team has been able to get some early leads, just haven't been able to capitalize on them. It seems like once we get around the 4th or 5th inning, the bats go quiet and the bullpen enters the game ready to give it away.

Anderson raked in high school with pop too. Not sure if it will translate to SEC play especially with no at bats this year. Highly doubt we see him in field/hitting.

Musso is insufferable when things are going well. I can't imagine how bad he is when things are sideways. I stopped listening.

Last night's show was kinda weird. He was almost giddy that we're taking Dutton and Moffett to Knoxville. Grinning from ear to ear. I'm still a little pissed that we've been leaving the the big 6'4" dude who throws 99 and has an ERA under 1.5 either in the dugout doing dick, or at his apartment, watching the back half of our pen get lit up.

And Jay was laughing when he said "you might see something weird like Guidry in the infield or Anderson in the outfield," but I don't think he was "joking." I don't think he meant to expect them in the starting lineup or anything, just that that's who he'd use if shite goes sideways.

Correct. He’s pointing out the emergency plan if he runs out of position players given that he’s gonna be 2 short of normal.

I’d love to see Guidry play short
