I’d love to see Guidry play short

I'm not sure you would.

And I'd just like to point out that nobody is really mentioning the injury he suffered in high school that is likely still bothering him. We talk about him like he's just not good enough to play at this level--and he's not--but I think a lot has to do with his injury stunting his development. Not only could he not take the requisite reps it takes to play middle IF in the SEC and hitting SEC pitching, but he also hasn't been able to work on his body like he needs to. He would have been able to put on a nice 15 pounds or so on his frame, which would be massive.

And remember he didn't go off to play in a summer league, because he was supposed to stay close to campus so he could focus on working on his body. And I'm pretty sure he suited up for Ronnie's Rougaruo, but quit after 1 inning because he was hurting. So I'm not sure he sucks or was overrated--maybe he was to a degree--I think he's just been plagued with some unfortunate injury luck.

Typically one brings their glove to the outfield, not their bat.

I guess we'll see how it works out for him though.

pitchers typically rake the mound after the game. If he's playing in the field, his raking will be done in the batter's box.

But when's the last time he even took BP before this week? If he actually gets an AB or 2 and comes out and actually does rake, he may be a bigger stud than I already think.

The thing I'm a little leery of, though, is if it fricks with his pitching routine. Cause at this point, I kinda expect him to throw a couple innings this weekend, skip the midweek game, and start Game 3 next weekend on full rest, ready to dominate.

Anderson has taken zero bp this year. He ain’t batting

However he can smoke it but he’s not quite ready for SEC level pitching just yet
