Gold jersey has always been a mindset for LSU baseball. It means you’re playing for something. Some of the best memories have been in LSU gold. Heritage is important for a team

he’s not saying the colors are why we play that way.
make wearing “Championship Gold” something you earn.
tell them they don’t deserve to wear them and use it as motivation.

The color of the jersey is NOT the reason we are playing like we are playing.
but taking away something the players like and making them earn that thing has been used as motivation in sports for as long as sports have been organized.
that thing might be something us as general fans doesn't even know exists and happens behind closed doors.
that thing might be cell phones.
that thing might be the player's lounge in the baseball facility.
that thing might be a change in curfew.
that thing might be the type of foods/snacks available after a game
that thing might be the right to wear "Championship Gold" Jerseys.
none of the above are reasons or excuses as to why we're playing like shite.
but taking them away can get their attention and change their mindsets.
get them thinking differently than what they have been.
change up the routine a bit.
