If you can’t beat Tennessee with Ty Floyd +Riley Cooper, you can’t win the National Championship.
We’re not going there to win 1 game. We’re going to win the whole thing.
Game 1 vs Tenn: Floyd +Cooper+Ackenhausen+Guidry
Game 2 vs Winner: Skenes + Ackenhausen + Guidry
Game 3: Hurd + Whomever is rested and ready + Guidry ( Your opponent will be playing their 4th game. You like your bats here)
Game 4: if necessary Floyd on 4 days rest. Your opponent will be playing their 5th game. You like your bats here
Game 1: Skenes on 4 days rest or Floyd if no game 4
Game 2: probably a bullpen game. Riley Cooper or Floyd if you didn’t play “if necessary above”
Game 3:

Dude you should apply for the job next time it opens. You have it all figured out. You probably have already but, you definitely need to email your plan to JJ with **EXTREME URGENCY** in the subject line.
Again, Skenes pitching game 1 has been what he has done all year long with the exception being the SECT game 1 on a Wednesday. Stick to the plan and he has max rest for Game 1 in the championship or can be used in a pinch later in the week situationally out of the pen.

Skenes should absolutely start against Tennessee, no questions asked. This isn’t Tulane. Tennessee will likely throw Lindsey who is very good in his own right. Floyd and company can beat Wake.

If you lose, then all bets are off. That’s when relying on a little or a cooper to start etc. eat up innings.
