Jay Johnson is building a monster program

2024 LSU baseball = 2010 Alabama football
Definitely a bit of championship hangover for some returning players, some bad luck, and some flat out bad play at times. Despite that, we were a couple pitches from hosting a super.
And I believe Jay is the best college baseball coach in america that’s about to go on an ungodly rampage in recruiting and the portal. I have zero doubt this program is in the best hands possible.
On to 2025.

Jay not bringing Ack back in was the problem. He can have 30-5 Stars but if he don’t get out of his own way it will kill the program!

They’ve got A TON of rebuilding to do around three freshmen and maybe two reliable arms. I’ve got no faith in noot or shores until I see them. He’s got his work cut out for him

Definitely agree. The committee says UNC is the 4th best team in the country and we lost 2/3 to them with a -1 run differential.
-1 is 1 defensive play or 1 inning from Christian Little. Or whatever.

Our freshmen are really strong, recruiting class absurd, and Jay is excellent recruiting the portal. We’re going to be nasty next year and Jay is going to go psycho baseball fiend to make it happen.

Also I’ll disregard any of the preseason forecasts after how dominant we were supposed to be on the mound. We just couldn’t hit

Good core of position players returning: Milam, Neal, Larson, brown, Pearson has a year left I think. Hopefully Kling and Frey improve significantly

I see the angle but it’s also easy to see a team with a ton of talent that seriously underperformed. They had 3 legit starters rolling at the end of the season and blew a great opportunity to get back to Omaha.
