There are only 2 college baseball coaches in recent history who have put together two consecutive successful baseball seasons (winning a natty) based on our standards: Ray Tanner (SC) and Skip Bertman.
It’s not going to happen in back to back years in the NIL/portal era. Parity is real, and those days are long gone.
As great as Jay is, he is competing against a lot of other programs that have just as much money and buy-in in baseball.
