Jobert was Johnson. All those players could have left when he came so I’m sure he recruited them LIKE BELOSO AS HE STATED HIMSELF ABOUT COMING BACK.
Then there were ZERO left handed pitchers.
You absolutely do not win without elite pitching. PERIOD. Cooper, who was the MVP in Omaha and not Skenes isn’t here without Johnson. Then there was Hurd and Guidry. Frankly, you had Ty Floyd that developed and helped that team the most from the left overs.

But we all loved coach O, he talked like us, walked like us, thought like us. We all had the same intellectual level. We all loved our blondes. We all baws of the same level of intelligence.
He taught us how to lose to Troy in Tiger Stadium, how to draw our roster down to 40 scholarship players, how to use fishing holes for not so kind purposes.
Remember when he hired a DC without interviewing him. We had to pay 6 million in buyout to fire him. Remember when he almost had a fight with his OC. Remember how he went looking for the "Joe Brady" offense after Joe Brady had left. Remember when when "were cumming".
Those were the most enjoyable days of LSU football.
Jay Johnson is a guy just keeps winning and managing his program right.....all boring snooze....what we need is someone like O.
