That’s exactly what you said about Myles Brennan. If he did anything other than football “he didn’t care about it”.

I think it’s primarily Zac Taylor and offensive design, not Burrow or the O-line.

Teams are going heavy cover 2 to take away the big plays. Everyone, even Josh Allen and Mahomes, started struggling when they starting see a lot of Cover 2. Joe himself does need to figure out a counter, but it’s more on Taylor and Callahan to figure out play calls or play designs that can either beat Cover 2 or get the defense out of Cover 2.

It’s not just passing, bengals have the worst rushing offense in the league through 2 games. It’s an offensive scheme/design/playcalling issue at its core.

Well ok, fair enough, but Cover 2 has been around for a long time, but more popular in the early 2000's to 2015, etc. Steelers used it alot with Dick LeBeau, Tampa Bay used it with Lane Kiffin's Father (had their own version Tampa 2). Have teams not seen lots of that the last few years or these younger QB's and DC's are hitting them with it.

If Teams are running split safeties then you need to attack the middle of the field. I think Uzomah not being there is something that Burrow is missiing.

Link?

I never said anything about Myles Brennan's off-the-field stuff. I just never thought he was a good QB regardless. I don't give a shite that he got hurt while fishing.

Don't twist my words with other posters on here.

It’s obvious you swallowed the click bait and didn’t bother to read or listen to the entire discussion. He didn’t attack Burrow, it was a cautionary reminder using other players he was fans of who’s play decline coincided with becoming pawns of political movements and distractions. He also walked the statements back but instead of informing yourselves you take a hit piece and create an entirely different meaning to what was said.

That’s pretty ironic right there. Thanks for proving my point though.

Getting back to Jason, Ii listen when possible & like what he says, regarding JB, he seems to be hold the ball a split second too long, I’ve Been disappointed what I’ve seen this year, Jason saying to JB concentrate on football & leave politics at home

So he's not hard-working anymore because he has some liberal stances?

You guys know he was saying stuff like this when he was at LSU, right?

Good points and accurate.

Joe's politics are not mine, and that is 100% ok. When he played here at LSU, he played 100% in all 28 games he started. I never got the sense that he pushed his politics on the coaches or other players or the fans, nor did he cancel anyone who did not share his political views (and his are not aligned 100% with mine)

But I think as an NFL players, again when you go public with your political views in social media, there is going to be push back.

So for some segment of this board, I suspect it is going to result in a life crisis that we have not seen since Nick Saban took the Alabama job in January of 2007. That is that Joe Burrow is a liberal Democrat.

He walked it back after some football people explained the functional issues going on with the Bengals and Burrow right now but that’s not a headline so the sources generating the controversy didn’t report that part.

I love Burrow and hope he wins multiple Super Bowls before entering the Hall of Fame, but Whitlock is absolutely correct in his assessment.

Whitlock is a political target because he’s what they hate the most. Black, Christian and a free thinker. Let’s just take an example of one of his favorite guest on his show, Coach Jason Brown. He’s a traditional democrat who believes in 75% of what that party believes in but since he isn’t a full on Marxist YouTube tried to de-platform his show. This story is about going after Whitlock, which is why only selective quotes where used. Burrow is simply a pawn to do so which is part of what Whitlock was saying. This controversy proves his overall point.

Which is why half you fricktards agree with this article. If Joe was out their pushing bull shite voter fraud conspiracy theories, you same morons berating him now would be all over his cock cheering him on.

Can't argue with this. However, the NFL says they fully support the right to free speech of their players and coaches. However, I'm sure Jack Del Rio and Tim Tebow disagree. Do you think the NFL would be cool with a player putting "Choose Life" on his helmet pad as opposed to "Choose Love" or "End Racism?" What about "MAGA?" "John 3:16?"

No, but do you care or hope that an athlete brings up their political views during their sport’s interview? I don’t care to hear that, I’m watching for entertainment purposes and to see their God given abilities on display. Do your crusader work on your own time, not on your organization’s time. They pay you to play a sport, not for your political stances.

I wish that were still the case but the NFL has gone full corporate authoritarianism. Let’s take (D) and (R) out of it, the fact is the corporate mindset lines up with the mindset of centralized power which always leans towards censorship, stripping of rights and oppressive behavior. These players, off the field, are now strongly encouraged, coerced or even forced to push that corporate/oppressive mindset.
