From LSU player interviews this week:

quote:

"We need to execute better in the red zone," wide receiver Jarvis Landry said. "We get a lot of different defensive formations when we get down there. Teams are looking for the run.

"I made the mistake on the ball Zach threw to me near the goal line. There was miscommunication between me and the sidelines. I thought it was a knife route and it was 'sluggo.' I was not looking for the ball right away. Zach threw a good pass."

Not much of a thread topic, but I know a lot of people were arguing about who to blame for missing an open TD there. Glad to see a player step up and accept blame.

Good find. Landry has been a class act since he stepped on campus and I feel like he has only shown a small percentage of what he can do. Love his attitude and the way he plays. Reminds me of Michael Clayton in many ways.

Great to hear a player step up and take responsibility. Shows leadership.

Yep. He doesn't have Clayton's size but he is a very effective blocker. I am sure that is one of the reasons he is on the field so much.

I'm just glad we're running knife and sluggo routes...

This is honestly the only thing we are missing right now to be vastly improved.

Well last year that kind of started - flashes of Clayton on special teams (Landry was a beast in the Auburn game on KO coverage) - remember when schools stopped returning punts against Christian Life?

everything is miles fault at all times. if a player slips down it is miles fault because he controls the school contract or hired the person who is and saban would have done it right. saban never makes mistakes.

George Bush's Fault. The pass route was worse than he thought. He inherited the route from Reuben
