just say 'a good representative' is that so hard?

oh FFS! it's not racist to say a college kid is well spoken. How many interviews show kids, white and black, that sound like blithering idiots? Hell, professional athletes too for that matter. How many of you have ever given an interview. It's more difficult than you would imagine. It's a compliment to say anyone is well spoken.

Definitely a stud. Can't wait to see him at WR this year.

He's probably my favorite recruit we've ever signed. He knocked the hell out of people in his high school videos. If he moved to safety I have a feeling we'd all forget LC.

I've already forgotten about LC. He is a damn safety. The easiest position to fill on the defense. If he was a top notch lb or DT or cb, I'd have been upset.

And a great blocker when he's not catching it over the middle.

thatsracist:

i know thats the popular backlash to saying a black athlete is well spoken but i disagree that it always is. many college athetes of all races are not well spoken; some come across as real dummies. so when anyone is reping LSU i am always proud when they are well spoken, black or white. honestly, being "well spoken" is taken as an indicator of intelligence by the vast majority of people, esp in the academic and business worlds. i understand your point but i think that is not necessarily an indicator of racism.

curious though, why you didn't expect him to be well spoken?

Put all the well spoken college players in one bucket and those who are not in another. Compare the size of said buckets and you will realize why this is a stupid question.

When OBJ got off to the fast start early last season and Landry realized that he wasn't going to get much PT on O, there was no crying or pouting. He busted his arse on special teams because he saw what a special team that was and he wanted to contribute. Can't get on the field one way, get on the field another. I was very impressed and am looking for big things to come.
