Oh my fricking God TigrLee is back from the dead! There goes the neighborhood.

The man carried the water for most of the year. Then....
On 1-9-12, I put Les Miles in my doghouse and threw away the key. Last one to leave, turn out the lights.

SEC Champ game vs Uga was more embarrassing for Lee than Alabama nc game.

I don't get how any tiger fan forgave him for that gameplan and essentially giving up on trying to win before half.

quote:Lee was a great Tiger, but you should prolly look at some of his other efforts that year.
Troy game was posted on here not too long ago, I watched it and more more specifically Lees performance.
If you bothered to rewatch, ask yourself when last time you saw a LSU qb throw the ball the way lee did in that game.
Lee got better over the years, but still would freak under pressure.
In fact the game ending INT vs Wisc automatically made me think of Lee.

quote:I agree with this. Something we haven't seen in a long time. He stepped up his last year and really got the ball rolling. It was much like the beginning of this year - with all the question marks - but with a happy ending. He could stand up in the pocket and deliver the ball with accuracy.
Lee got better over the years,
His punishment later that year did not fit the crime.

I like to think about the under pressure throws he made like vs tenn at home espec 4th down, fla game throw to tolliver FTW or Alabama game clincher throw he made at home.
But hey, that's just me.
You remember what you want to.

Bottom lined is his career stats weren't better than his competition and saved further degradation by the staff post 9-5-11......and I think he should have still been a part of the gameplan.

Maybe Les prefers the athleticism of black quarterbacks but doesn't have the ability to coach to their skill set.

And Jefferson was still better.

Stopped here because you are dead wrong.
you guys sit here saying other programs can have rsfr play well. So him being young isn't an excuse.
I get what you are saying, but the Lee situation was different. Miles and Crowton had redone the offense in the Spring to take advantage of Perriloux's abilities. Then in May, Perriloux is kicked off the team after Spring ball. Lee was never to take a starting snap for another two years at that point

RobbBobb, TigrLee and a JLee vs JJ thread. what year is this again? #TBT

JLee was best pure qb we've had since Mett and Flynn.
Kid could make all the throws on the field.
If LSU had lost the Troy game. Miles would have gone down in infamy because he would have been fired. You don't go from a national championship to 500 or below in a single season.
He had to let Lee sling it all over the field....also I don't know that Lee was afraid of being hit.

The main reason for the 2008 trainwreck was Miles' handling of Perrilloux in the years leading up to 2008.
Lee was green because Miles never gave him a second thought until it was too late.

That wasn't the point. Comment was tongue in cheek.

This thread is a real kick in the face

I mean...he was okay. He didn't put up Tommy Hodson numbers.
Say you have respect for him, that's fine, but his numbers were pretty far from "The Man" status.

He's a Jimbo recruit and supposedly ran a Jimbo offense with Russ and Flynn. You do know Lee was basically 4th string while Jimbo was here, and rarely saw 1st team snaps, right?
Not that I agree with the other guy but Jimbo left prior to the '07 season when Lee was a true freshman. Do believe Jimbo would have made a full-time starter out of Lee.
