Randall wasn't half bad in 2004.

He was adequate some of the time. Under Gary Crowton, he would have been terrible. When Randall was here, we had a competent OC/QB coach. That shouldn't be undervalued.

You found my weakness.

I can't argue against emoticons . . . and you posted three of them.

Curse you and your fiendish irrefutable arguments.

All three QBs are bad. But it's a slim margin.

I don't think we've seen Lee or Jefferson play like Randall did against Florida and Arkansas in a while.

Can't someone admire Lee's fortitude and the way he has stuck out his career at LSU while also recognizing that he's not a terribly good QB?

He's one of my all-time favorite players (really) for the way he has continued to play hard in the face of overwhelming criticism. that said, I also think that last year showed he can't play full-tike QB. I admire his heart, but realize he's not very good. He's good for a backup and I'm proud he's a Tiger, but he's demonstarted repeatedly why he's not starting. I'd love it if he could.

To me, he'll go in that class of player who just bled purple and gold. Isn't that enough?

I like Lee. What gets to me is the hero worship he gets on the board at the expense of other players. My comments aren't really a reflection on anything he's done. It's more pointing out the hypocrisy of his worshipers.

I think you take positive comments as worship. Some are exagerrated to overcompensate some poster's constant ridiculing of him.

I admire JL for being true to LSU. He has faced adversity and has had bright spots that salvaged last year. Kudos to a true Tiger!

BUT, no man-crush here.

Nope. Positive comments are fine. What happens here is worship.

Nope.

Count the "Thankful for Lee" or "Does Lee have the biggest heart of any Tiger ever" threads that get started daily here.

I don't recall much worship in 08. Admire maybe. I don't see why anyone would worship either. Both mediocre at best up to this point.

I think every fan should be thankful when a QB leads a game winning drive. Especially in consecutive weeks.

I support any Tiger on the field. I may not personally agree with the decision to play certain player.
