Any team that loses their 1st and 2nd string QB aren't going to compete for a sec title.

Ask Cam Cameron who he is more impressed with. Foster will be the second QB and possibility the starter before its all said a done.

Berg has been to JUCO and LIT IT UP crushing all of Mett's stats (except TDs I think)in the same conference.

False.

Also, Mett was previously a scholarship D-1 QB before getting booted from UGA. In other words, you're clueless.

I'm definitely happy with Beregeron as a 3rd option, but to try and compare him to Mettenberger is straight up laughable.

That and the fact that this guy threw it 39 times a game in JUCO, that tells me he was in a pass happy spread system. Remember them talking about Rettig struggling his first year just to practicing under center? I think we'd be in the shitter if he had to come in at anytime when the game was not in hand this year.

Jared Foster versus Brandon Bergeron
He crushed Mets stats ok!

ZM: 32 TDs
Berg: 22 TDs

ZM: 4 INTs
Berg: 9 INTs

ZM: 9 ypa
Berg: 7.5 ypa

ZM: TD per 9.3 passes
Berg: TD per 18.1 passes

So nearly a 2 times as many passes to throw

Now that you are thru muddying the waters...Go on ahead and post the total passing yardage and completion percentages..

You see, when your completion % is higher, the yds per average doesn't mean shite. I'd much rather 20% high completion % and 1.5 yds less per catch....but then again, I know the game.

Never did say he was in Metts class. He demolished his passing yardage and completion % in JUCO for the year. That's it! I never said anything about arm strength. I did say he is better from experience at reading coverages and defenses than our 1 and 2 guys at this point.....he's seen an entire year of schemes and disguises while on the field....

The topic was Foster v Berg.....Foster was just a VERY average recuit in high school and now hasn't played football in 2 years...what in the frick would make someone even talk about him being more ready than Berg if we got down to our third guy.

It's laughable

Yes sir! It looks like some of our fellow Tiger fans haven't been treating their their brain cells very well lately.

I can only imagine which of today's modern pharmaceuticals would tempt someone even consider that either of them had JUCO performances that "crushed" the stats of a 5 star guy who was the #1 QB in that year's JUCO class after a league championship run. The offer lists were light years apart.

I'm excited that Foster is on board to give the defensive starters a look at an athletic strong armed QB during practice reps.

This is priceless. It's these gems that make me hate our own fans. It's with the same insane minds that people hate on LSU positives.

Foster would be a running QB if he ever played, so all
the throwing comparison are pretty irrelevant.

I wonder how Foster and Bergeron compare to Andrew Hatch?

Unbelievable that Hatch was the starting QB for a while in 2008.

Why dont rantards understand that every team in college or pro is fricked if they are forced to play their 3rd QB?

Wow.

It actually means that Mett was throwing downfield far more and with success

Completion % doesn't mean much if you aren't taking care of the ball. He was throwing volume, low yardage passes, yet still had less touchdowns and 5 more interceptions

In the 2 years Brees broke the completion % record, he still had a very, very high Yards Per attempt. Finished 3rd in 2009 and 6th in 2011. His yards per attempt drop when his completion % falls.

David Carr led the NFL in YPA before and Chad Pennington is the career record holder

Except for TDs, Ints, YPA, Passer Rating, Touchdown %, and Int %
