I just don’t understand it but then again I don’t know what is going through these players heads. Atleast fight it out another year.

Man if anyone can explain to Walker the benefit of not being the starting QB too soon it would be his dad.

He’s not that good. He’s better leaving. Dad gave him good advice.

He can have a better shot somewhere else.

He looked like booty cheeks in the bowl game and will be relegated to scout team and waterboy duty again with little opportunity to develop. Let the kid go.

Chad Loup would never allow it from his offspring. All three proud LSU grads

Chad and Jamie are FAR different.

Not throwing shade but Chad has always been a scholar and a gentleman.

Jamie Howard had 47 career interceptions... clearly poor decision making has been a problem for quite some time.

I think it was the right move. Walker likely would have been a RS Senior before getting a chance to play. It is really a sign that the 2 ahead of him are good.

I don’t get the Jamie hate on here. We have a mutual buddy and spent a day or so with him at beach when Walker was little kid and definitely wasn’t anything but all LSU then.

Yes, Howard was the issue on those 90's LSU teams

I think the Bech/Howard transfers are a byproduct of the families and not the kids. They’re freshmen in college, meanwhile you have Blaine Bech starting shite on Twitter because Jack isn’t playing enough and Walker’s dad seemed extremely heavily involved in Walker’s redshirting and career in general. Sounds like a case of your run of the mill crazy arse Louisiana sports helicopter parents to me

Yet nuss didn't start the bowl game last year because of his dad

Really? You really don’t understand it given what has transpired today? That’s either not true or just sad. You know exactly why people are pissed.

Well, maybe not if he had the balls to get better and fight for a spot. This all reeks of insecurity, fear, and a me-first me-now attitude. Entering the portal when you are still a Freshman comes off as fricking pathetic.

Possibly, or maybe Kelly had a very honest conversation with Howard on where he stood and how he looked

Yep. All I’m gonna say is it says a lot about someone who was adamant that the kid redshirt bc that was best for him and then turn around and transfer before the next spring bc it’s apparent the job wasn’t gonna be given to him on a platter.

Sounds pretty unreasonable and shitty in my opinion. Not much of team mentality there at all and definitely not a competitor. Disappointed to say the least. Not bc the kid is irreplaceable but bc I thought Jamie Howard and his son were better than that.

Don’t let the door hit ya son

WTF are you talking about? "what has transpired today"? Why don't you explain it to us. Come on out with it.
