Look, more power to Nick for taking the Miami money and I like Miles 10x more than I ever liked Saban, but every year he flirted with some NFL job or Notre Dame in 2001. LSU signed his paycheck. He worked hard at LSU and earned his paycheck, but he never seemed enthralled with LSU to me. Maybe his wife and daughter, but not him.

Spot on.

C'est Bon will not return. He is destined for State College, PA once Joe Pa kicks the bucket.

C'est Bon was not some god-emperor...just as he has shown at bammer, he is prone to some fukups (ULM, Utah, etc) just as at LSU.

Does Gruden have real experience in college football? I'm trying to come up with a head coach in today's game who earned their chops in the NFL and then did well in college

The roles of head coach seem fairly different in college and the NFL in some ways

Ill give you that gruden is a great and young coach, proven, with a sb ring, etc. But I'm happy with Les. Gruden is great at his MNF gig, maybe he can do that for a while

There's got to be a fallen giant of a university with pockets deep enough to lure Nick away.

Hardly sonnyboy. What is it? Do the facts bother you folks that much. Or does the fact that you regularly get humiliated by someone old enoughto be your grandfather get under all of your skins. I find all the "meds" and "nap" stuff pretty amusing. Keep it up, sonnyboy.

Eh, not too me. He grossed me out with his Favre worshipping. I think Gruden has a boner whenever he calls a Vikings game now.

He's a national figure and a huge, outspoken LSU fan. What could be wrong with that?

Why all the hostility? I have never heard Nick Saban say anything negative about LSU. He just happens to be a good coach that did what he though best, at the time, for his family.
