Ja'Marr Chase and receivers

True freshman WR had a pretty good opening year with a seasoned RB and QB spearing the offense. Justin Jefferson was probably the go-to receiver, but I think things change for Chase this year. Joe Brady has mentioned using Chase in an Alvin Kamara type role and I believe that will spring him into the top WR talks.
Chase can be used as a flex RB, in the slot, out wide, and much more. I wonder if they will let him in on the return game as well. This offense, if ran as advertised, should do wonders for the WRs. Brady and Mickey have also stated that the receivers are learning differently as well. Instead of learning positions, they are focusing more on knowing concepts and ideas.
Also, there was an interview where one or the staff members (Most likely Brady, but I can't recall 100%) indicated that the receivers had a different conditioning year than usual. They ran full routes instead of sprints to get accustomed to the non huddle, hurry up at times, offense.

I think Chase & Marshall outshine Jefferson

Chase was a grown man when he stepped on campus last year. He was a little raw but we all saw the flashes and I think he's going to break out this year - same with Terrace Marshall. Provided they're used early and often (and correctly), this WR group is stacked.

Marshall will be our primary deep threat. He's also fully healthy now. I remember Burrow to Marshall deep shot in the Georgia game. We should be seeing that connection often.

Honestly, I'd rather see Marshal & Anderson on the edges with Chase & Dillon in the slots before trotting Jefferson out there

Has Jefferson still not done enough to earn you frickers' respect??

I consider this a good thing. Imagine if Chase and Marshall emerge as stars and teams will have their safety or 3rd best corner possibly matched up with Jefferson who was easily our number 1 last season. Also Pettigrew and Sully at wideout matched with linebackers. Good God the potential is endless. We just need the O-Line to be decent.

Jefferson is gonna be a star. I’ve heard from people that Jerry Sullivan claimed Jefferson is the best route runner at this age that he’d ever coached, and I’ve seen practice videos of him dropping Stingley to the ground on routes multiple times. You don’t have to take my word for it but the kid is legit and gonna be a big weapon on the offense this year.

frickin guy was unguardable last year. He's not flashy but he always gets open and catches the damn ball. clowns in here counting out a top WR in the conference from a year ago

Jefferson is probably the most "experienced". Two brothers played before him (1 QB and the other a CB/Safety). He knows what he needs to get done, but man, I hope he has reduced his drops. Dude is such a crisp route runner and can break ankles with his speed.

It's because he wasnt a big recruit.
I believe Chase and Marshall will make a big leap year 2 but Jefferson will still be the #1 target. Hoping his work ethic rubs off on all the younger players

It was more or less year one for Jefferson as well. He had zero receptions heading into last season.

I think this will be the most productive group since 2012. I’m excited.

Jefferson just had one of the 3 best seasons in LSU history for a sophomore WR

It's not uncommon in a family of athletes, for the youngest sibling to be the best

Chase reminds me of Landry so much.
A healthy Marshall is like a Rueben Randle and Jefferson is an all-around stud.
Trey Palmer who has smooth AF route running and awesome speed (probably ready to go as a FR)
Then you have the speedy Dillon (who needs to improve his hands)
The twin towers in Anderson and Sullivan.
Racey McMath who is a freak at 6'3 210+ and runs a 4.4
Size and speed galore.
A 5 wide set of Chase, Marshall, Dillon, Palmer, and Jefferson will be hard to stop. Any of those guys can put a double move on you and blow the top off your coverage or take an underneath row and rip it for 40.

If this happens, our receiving group will be off the charts. Jefferson has received high praise from the league scouts and should be playing on plenty of Sundays in the future.

Chase and Marshall on the outside and Jefferson in the slot is a dangerous combination. I think Chase sand Marshall make a jump this year big time. Remember it took Odell and Landry until halfway through their sophomore season to become go to guys.
