Youngest QB to ever start a Super Bowl, right? He was leading the Redskins at halftime, and then it all went downhill from there...

I understand the concept. I still don't think he was ready for the NFL.

He was definitely ready for the money.

What's your problem with his "Bama Boy" bling? He was from there. Most people are proud of where they come from.

Do you not remember JR scrambling at the end of the 1st half against Tennessee and running the clock out instead of stopping the clock with a pass because we were IN FIELD GOAL RANGE?

Some of the best and smartest NFL QBs make HORRIBLE decisions at times.

Do you remember him completing 68% of his passes in his last year while playing against SEC competition.

There is ZERO amount of physical talent in the world that can get you to complete a % like that without being a smart QB.

Yes it does. In a profession where you are paid for on the field performance, you would be an idiot to assume that you can put in zero effort and continue to be on a roster

Where did Russell every say he assumed he would stay on a roster?

oh i'm not saying he's not football smart, he's not intelligent though. He could be spending time to better himself more rather than fricking around rolling in his millions IMO

The Raiders did say he showed up earlier this year for workouts in his best shape of his life. He lost many pounds in the off season and they said he seemed more motivated. Maybe this will get him on with another team.

it's the UAt mascot. auburn is in AL too. He wasn't sporting a war eagle necklace. For the MNC Jamarcus:
1) wore Bama bling
2) wore zero purple and gold with nothing affiliated with LSU
3) acted like a douche bag.

Karma is a bitch IMO. The sad thing is I really like him and wish he'd pull his head out of his arse.

somebody will give him a chance based solely on potential. They might think Oakland is the problem and not Russell. They may think getting cut woke him up. I'd put any money on it that if he's cut, someone else picks him up.

He could possibly stick as a second/third team QB on the right team. Will never be a productive starter in the NFL.

More likely, I see a possible future for him as an assistant manager of the Waffle House on Airport Blvd in Mob-Town.........

I think the raiders make more of a difference than most people think

compare Jamarcus Russell's rookie year (2008) and Mark Sanchez's rookie year (2009)

JR: 198/368 53.8% 2423 Yards, 13 TD, 8 INT
MS: 196/364 53.8% 2444 Yards, 12 TD, 20 INT

why isn't sanchez's career over after next season? because he doesn't have to carry the team

Leadership? Intangibles? Let's measure those. Oh wait...

Big Ben? How good were his numbers in his first SB winning season and first SB. Did he improve?

And let's see if Sanchez regresses like JR. I love the JR jock-sniffers who defend this lazy tool at all cost.

He is among the top NFL busts of all time as of now. It will take a miracle to keep him off that list permanently.

why should he?

88 percent of Tigah Nation hated his guts from day one.

I'd fight every one of you racist fricks if I could. I'd enjoy beating you like dogs.

that's a negative ghost rider. He and Marcus Randall were both bruthas and I wished JR would have played sooner. Also, so are you saying racist fans don't exist at Bammer?
