Likely bringing his NFL career to an end. Great college player but I think even his biggest supporters will agree he has himself to blame for all of this. Oakland is what it is but the lack of effort on his part is not acceptable. I also think this gives LSU a bad name especially future QBs trying to get drafted.

What a waste...I have to admit that he fooled me.

I thought he was going to be a solid pro.

He's still 1000x better than Maurice Clarett.

What if JR started his career around Mike Singletary?

somebody will give him a chance based solely on potential. They might think Oakland is the problem and not Russell. They may think getting cut woke him up. I'd put any money on it that if he's cut, someone else picks him up.

anyone with a history like this bad start to his career gets cut or traded for almost nothing which acts like a wake up call and he turns out to be a great player maybe even hall of famer, or do all players like this end up the same way a wasted career in the NFL

If JaMarcus isn't motivated now I can only wonder why he would be motivated as a backup.

This is all disappointing. Really wanted to see him excel in the NFL.

Chase Daniel is learning from Drew... You can't ask for any better than that. They're the same size and a lot alike. I feel confident that Daniel will be able to be a productive QB onedat

im sure i could find an example of a player who was a bust in the NFL then later in history the same school that the bust went to produces a hall of famer in the NFL who was a high first round pick

better talent yes but that's not even half the battle in the NFL if you don't work your arse off then you won't do much in the NFL

just think if Drew made Jamarcus' light come on. Russell has about 190x's the ability of Chase Daniel. If someone brought the mental aspect out of Russell he'd be amazing.

you can ask for a million times better than that. Hell, Daniel was on waivers like 5 times last season and another team didnt even blink.
