his QB rating last year was lke 77 something. he had more TDs than INTs.
that's not good, but it's not bust or close to "mega bust"
He had an okay season for a rookie no doubt, but not giving a shite like he has been ESPECIALLY for a QB and he will end up nowhere but bust-land. This isn't college anymore, he can't just show up on gamedays and dominate.

Jamarcus' attitude aside, his "first" year was mostly a contract holdout. This year will actually be his second. For most QB's it doesn't really come together until their third.

he didn't give a shite as essentially a rookie and had a 77 rating

we've seen he can just show up with no OL or WRs and put up a 77 rating

JR's playing weight was 270+lbs when he was at LSU. Thats probably considered very over weight by some, but he was pretty nimble.

I don't think any of his fans are. I hope he gets his shite straight, but coming in overweight isn't a good sign.

Which was towards the bottom in the league and will not cut it. I'm not saying he had a bad season as a rookie (obv. 2nd "season" but really his true rookie year), but he also didn't have a good one. My point is if he ever wants to improve he needs to put in the off-season work and he simply has put it off like it doesn't matter.

Which once again was towards the bottom of the league last year.

Jamarcus laxed attitude is not surprising, if he woulda cared a little more, LSU woulda won a NC on his watch.

"But I'm not 300 pounds like you all said last year." That's too bad, because the Raiders needed a left tackle to protect Jeff Garcia's blind side.

I don't think he cares. He certainly doesn't show that burning desire to be the best. His approach reminds me of former LSU basketball phenom for the 1980s, John Williams. The kid had a world of talent but was lazy and didn't care. Once he got his big NBA contract, he ballooned up in weight and was out of the league rather quickly.

How many times did Culpepper show up in less than ideal weight? Leftwich? Davey? The answer: pretty much every time.
QBs with naturally large frames like Jamarcus have trouble staying as slim as one would like. How about we wait until Jamarcus stops progressing on the field (has not happened in his QB career yet) before we as LSU fans start talking trash and nonsense about him.
The LSU fans that only support LSU alum that have personalities they like and talk trash about the others should be ashamed of themselves.

Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. But again, Jamarcus has improved every year since he stepped foot on campus. Why wouldn't you reserve judgment until he levels off below his potential level or until he regresses, to assume the worst?

and no matter what, he still has a shitty OL and no WRs in his favor
And this justifies showing up to training camp out of shape? He's not in high school anymore, where they condition for 10 days before the real practices start. He's a professional and should approach the game as such.
