Why is no one making a big deal about Glenn being 30+ pounds over weight?
"Saturday was his 24th birthday, but second-year Chiefs defensive end Glenn Dorsey didn't look all that happy to me. Dorsey was way off to one side of the practice fields in the morning workout, going through drills with a Chiefs trainer, along with a half-dozen other players who aren't yet cleared to practice by head coach Todd Haley.
The Chiefs haven't put Dorsey on the PUP, and they're not saying if he's injured in any way, but the strong sense I got was that Kansas City's No. 1 pick in 2008 is being held out of practice due to a lack of conditioning at this point. At one point this offseason, Dorsey is believed to have been quite a bit heavier than Chiefs officials wanted, perhaps by as much as 30 pounds."

30+ pounds over weight and lack of conditioning is same thing many are hating on Russell for. Regardless of position he showed up out of shape from what coaches wanted him to do.

I like how I am regarded the idiot when he showed up 30+ pounds over weight. Especially considering I copy and pasted the majority of what it said.

quote:
The struggling receiver? Rookie Darrius Heyward-Bey, who dropped three passes in a single offense-only drill.
The first came on a short pass right at him with DHB dropping the ball as he went to turn upfield. The other was on a deeper pass when he went up awkward and had it clank off both hands from in front of him.
Raiders owner Al Davis, for one, noticed. Watching practice in a golf cart, he met with DHB and his position coach well after practice ended. Drops were the knock on DHB during college, and he's done nothing to dispute that reputation since the Raiders drafted him seventh overall
Doesnt look like JR will get any help again this yr.

Russell will have to get use to 4-6 drops a game by his recievers. How he responds to that will show his maturity.

Russel is LAZY. It drove Nick Saban crazy for almost 2 years. He wouldn't study film.

03 and 04. he actually could have played a lot more in '04. freshmen are required to watch film like everyone else. go reread that article and check-out his grammar.
