However, Jaden Daniels’ completion percentage last night was over 71%

It’s like if Shaq had a high fg percentage. You make a lot of shots if most are slam dunks. JD’s stats don’t tell the whole story. The shots he doesn’t take are the ones limiting his effectiveness.

But the stat meisters are lauding him completing 71% of his passes for 300 yards, lol. He did not ever put any fear into that defense nor the DC. Any defense will take giving up 300 yards passing and only giving up 13 points.

Dink and dunk. Some times it ain’t just the completions it’s when and where they are not made.

But the clueless will tell you the receivers aren’t getting separation. Well, it’s pretty damn hard to get open on a 10 yard route ( because that’s all JD wants to throw ), all the while the defense is condensing the field in this same area.

like where those balls went? and how the D was playing him early and late? and his lack thereof to adjust and get it downfield when they squatted on short routes?

you zero context posters i swear.

Jaden Daniels played an absolutely horrible first half. Twice he blew critical third down plays. That’s when the money is made. Once he had Boutte on a beautiful quick slant, and he threw it behind Boutte’s back shoulder. I lot of folks called that a drop by Boutte; not me. I know how hard that catch is to make. That’s a ball he “could” catch, not one he “should” catch.

Then we had 3rd and two, and tried to take a shot. We got the one on one, and Daniels didn’t friggin throw it. Burrow throws that, and we’re likely celebrating a TD. And don’t tell me I can’t compare him to Burrow. That was a very easy play for the QB, and Daniels blew it.

With good QB play, throughout the game, it would have been a competitive contest.

Limiting the whole offense and limiting what Denbrock can call because JD won’t stretch the field. Right now, teams have the last 2 games as a blueprint on how to defend this offense. At some point you have to give Nussmeier a series per half. If they don’t, you will see similar results as yesterday.

He can’t read defenses and is not a downfield threat.

Not many college QBs can read defenses in real time

He threw 2 nice passes yesterday downfield and both were dropped.

OK buddy keep hanging on to that meaningless completion%

I’m not. I was literally quoting and replying to someone saying that JD’s completion percentage and yards only came in garbage time and that isn’t true. I know reading is hard but try to keep up. I’m not thrilled with JD’s performance or stats but I’m also able to remember that Nuss has looked worse than him. So yeah, I’m not in here shitting on JD for being the most productive part of our shitty offense.
