So, again, unless she has told the team she is bringing in some very good players, this seems bad.
I can understand the thought, and if it was any other coach, I might be worried.
But Mulkey is a Hall of Fame coach, she's made the tournament every year here, and been to the Sweet 16 or further every year except her first. And since LSU will go get portal players and with the AD saying he's going to continue to support women's hoops, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until the on-court results suffer.

Some of this is that Kim probably wants to spend on proven players.
If these ladies didn’t break through last year, then they may not be the talent we need for championships.

I agree. I just wish she would come out with a comment about this.
Maybe they are being told they will have to take a "pay cut" next year. I trust Kim will still have a sweet 16 team next year. I just thought we could do that with our current team, with maybe one or two portal players.

Sa'myah did the same thing last year. Told the coaches she was staying the day after they got home from Spokane, then walked down the hall to Compliance to put her papers in for the portal.
I really thought this team would stay together. Mulkey said all year long how close they all were.
Still got Williams, Fulwiley, Knox, Koval, Johnson, plus Lampley. Good core, but can't afford any more bag-chasers.

And 10 days have gone by. That is plenty of time for some tampering to take place.
