The abrupt firings is strange. Almost makes you wonder if BK is getting paranoid.
By cutting an analyst position? Lol y’all need to relax.
People advocated for these kids to make all of this money under the current pay for play model. This will be the result, expect concession/parking/ticket prices to rise with little fan improvements.

Bro I don't think you understand how press releases work. The institution releases the information to the press and the press publishes it

I don’t think you understand how jobs work either

Pretty sure he was making $150k as an analyst. Absolutely cost cutting.
If this is true, that's nuts. I can't believe either was making 150k.

Jacoby Stevens was a cancer. Good riddance. He cared more about being a SJW than winning games in 2020.

Do you understand how press releases work? If there were an actual press release it would be available somewhere.
You have no idea who may have tipped Jacques off. Sure, it could have been Kelly or “LSU.” It could have also been any low-level staffer, or a player, or Stevens himself.

Conducting a mutiny? A purge maybe. And who knows what’s behind it.

Not true. Institutions don't publish their press relases unless they have a website specifically for that. By the way, it was also reported in Sports Illustrated

There's a better way for LSU to handle this without disrespecting former players
Does it really matter? You'd still find something to bitch about regardless.

Eliminating positions to pay for NIL makes way more sense though.
These analyst positions aren’t highly paid. Most make 80-100K per year. I doubt it’s cost cutting.

That 80-100k could potentially pay for a years salary worth of rev share. It's not NIL related, but getting people to understand NIL here is a lost cause.
Schools are going to lose a huge chunk to revenue sharing. They are not just going to eat all that money, they will find ways to make up for it.

A website like LSUSports.net?

There was an article from one of the local papers/magazines that was being given out at Chimes regarding how much LSU Athletics employees were making. He was definitely making a good bit of money for being an analyst, even if analysts are now allowed to do more than what they could 4 years ago

Respect to Jacoby Stevens who gave his blood, sweat, and tears to LSU unlike some of the insecure keyboard warriors on this page.

Nobody thinks that but you bud. There is nothing inferred one way or another. You have literally created an entire narrative in your head without LSU saying a word about anything

Just so I’m clear, looking at Jacques’ tweet about Brossette…

If tweet fails to load, click here. …are you under the impression that the “LSU press release” told him that Brossette felt “very blindsided by the dismissal”? I want to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you’re trolling, but I actually don’t think you are.
Athletic departments aren’t issuing press releases to announce fired analysts. FFS. When they do issue press releases, they post them on their websites (I already linked an LSU press release for you a few posts up).
There is a 0% chance that LSU “announced” these firings in the way you have suggested. Jacques Doucet got a tip from someone and checked with other sources to confirm. That’s his job. However it’s being framed, it’s coming from those sources. LSU might respond if it becomes a real story, but you’re way out on a limb with this assumption that LSU told Doucet about these firings with no further context.
