My last chance for my favorite play, perhaps.
If Curiel can't do it, would be a great time for Brown to get his first hit.

They still have to bat in the 9th. Even if it’s 30-7

They maybe had 1 hard hit ball off of him. The 2 walks were frustrating and he needs to get ahead in counts, but he bounced back nicely and retired the last 8 he faced.

Indiana is gonna be throwing position players by the end of the weekend.

Don’t They still get the at bat being in the bottom of the inning?

Ah, no 10 run rule in the 9th? Didn't know that.

Home team always gets to bat

Cruised through the first 2 innings. 3rd inning was a mess with walks, defensive blunders and, frankly, some bad luck. Cruised after that. I think he only threw 80 pitches. Later in the season he'd 100% be back out there for the 6th.

Uh yeah. The home team still gets to bat in the bottom half of the frame

Yes, they do. We're already in the 9th inning, so we're playing it out, regardless of the score.

Not when it’s the top & losing team still has the bottom to bat
It’s weird not having LSU as the home team early in the season

The 10 run rule goes into effect at the end of an inning, for example if it was 15-5 in the top of the 8th the home team still gets an AB
