Yep.

The best player I faced on that list was Sean West. He was unreal in high school. Also the goofiest mf I've even shared a hotel with. Dude would be walking down the street with his 6'8 self and jump to headbutt stop signs on the way to the gas station down the street. Like it was nothing.

Keep going through the years on those rankings and they get pretty comical as far as how bad they are. They improve a little bit in the recent ones, but not by much.

I went through a couple years around the mid 2000s but didn't really look beyond that.

And yeah, pretty much anyone who showcased back then got on the list and sometimes those who showcased more got more "love." I can't imagine someone was getting paid much to rank and know local buys back then.

Baseball players could give a crap about the stadium. They want solid teammates, good coaches and chicks.

Edit: think I screwed that order up.

The scholarship counting rules changed last year so he could get more from them than here...

Meeting that criteria would equal a full ride from tops.

There are no rules for academic performance for needs based scholarships.

So you’re saying Jack Walker is in a needs based situation?

We are loosing several top in state players to schools like Miss St, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. Paul is not a great recruiter. Kids don’t want to play for him. Big thread on recruiting board about this.

Nope. Not saying that at all. All I’m saying is teams can give more couples scholarships than they could before and the reporting is not the same. It evens the playing field with the Vandy’s and TCUs some.
Nothing is mentioned about special scholarships from what I could find.

When I first saw him pitch vs Lafayette High two years ago, he was already committed to Miss St.

Not that I doubt you, because I know a few, but who are all of these top in-state players that we're losing?

Hahahaha, hello Kyle.

Swaggerty from Denham Springs. Went to South Alabama then was the 10th pick in the draft.

Right on the money. Paul plays favorites. But we did get moffitt from LSU E and Hal Hughes who’s dad old Paul has known for years. Guess old Paul isn’t above nepotism in addition to playing favorites.

Several in state outfielders are rated higher in the state than Stevenson. Also he will turn 19 before graduation, typical travel ball shite. Stevenson should dominate based on being nearly a year older than most he is playing against. Let’s not act like this is some big commit.
