each school lots more stringent now that they are graded on how their athletes are doing. I believe they gotta score 950 out of 1000 on the APR.

Makes it a little more severe for a student athlete to now just coast by and barely make the grades.

The question I would have is when did he cut classes? Was it after he lost his starting position? Did it make him sick of the whole thing and he just got tired of it. Or was this happening while things were going good for him?

if he just started skipping class 3 weeks ago, he wouldn't be last on the team in class attendance.

We can survive without Lee, but Mingo is a huge blow

Interesting. I have said this for weeks that Lee was having academic problems and CptBengal called me an idiot and RogertheShrubber called me pathetic.

Surely they know more about the situation though

Mingo could have just been tweeting about Lee for all we know or just venting about juggling practice with studying. some people read waaaayy too much into tweets. college students tweet stuff like that all the time and it doesn't always mean anything. there have been several times throughout the year when other players have tweeted stuff people freaked out about and it amounted to absolutely nothing

This. I am much more upset about Mingo, if he is in trouble.

I'd hate to lose Lee, too, obviously. I think we will need him and I hate to see him go out this way.

Can't we catch a break?

with an 8-9 man rotation on the line, we'd be fine. losing simon and mathieu for a game was a much bigger blow than would be losing mingo IMO. he's a hell of a player, but not irreplaceable with our depth

We have great depth, but no one has the speed of Mingo on the outside.

i don't disagree with that, but we have plenty of guys out there that can play the position well to where i don't think you'd see much difference in production from any offense. quite a luxury to have

oh he tweeted something extremely vague earlier about school and people ran with it and assumed the worst thing they could come up with . people react to tweets on here the way the telephone game was as a kid. it will start as something simple and turn into the most over exaggerated thing possible by the time the message is manipulated.

or he prob heard people were freaking out about nothing and didn't want them to worry about stuff going on in his personal life that weren't that big a deal. it's as if athletes are never allowed to vent and not have people go crazy when they have fans following their every move on twitter and try to decode what they meant.
