Your Infield is likely Reaves, Braswell and Milam, I dont think Jay's intent is to have as much depth as you would have if you were program building. The new reality is guys will leave quickly without playing time.

Needless to say, we won't see him on the mound.

Hey stop being logical. Nobody speaks that language on this board.

He played at K State FWIW. It looks like as a pitcher though.
Was 3/8 vs TAMU and Texas. The only P5 schools. Did play against a very good Lamar team as well as others.

What did Bingham do at Arizona in ‘23, then compare that to this past season? SEC is a different animal.
Montgomery (A&M) and Mac both hit around .360 in the Pac conf in '23. I think Montgomery hit around .330 this year while Mac had a huge drop-off.
I don't think Bingham's struuggkes iare necessarily proof that an outsider will crash in the SEC.

Does anyone else get tired of the constant statement that we will be stacked next year????? I'm like let this thing develop so we don't get he let down. Let them play a scrimmage at least.

What the hell do you want me to say? LSU is going to suck next season?
They have acquired multiple good bats in the portal, and will return some quality hitters, I don’t think it’s crazy to say they will be stacked.
LSU was picked by all 10 members of D-1 Baseball to be in Omaha next season. They are the only team in the country, who everybody chose as an Omaha team next year. Yes this means next to nothing, but it goes to show people around the country are pretty gushy about LSU again next season.

What a braying jackass, burro opens his mouth and inserts his foot, once again.
Kendall Rogers on Beck from X (twitter)
64 Analytics twitter quote:
"Was just informed by Dalton Beck that he has committed to play at @LSUbaseball in 2025. Dalton is currently #26 on The Board and adds another impressive bat to the lineup for the Tigers."
#26 out of over 1000 players in the portal and this jackass thinks adding him to the team is a desperate move.

this guy has had a weird trajectory where he came in as a so so pitcher and then started really hitting for the first time thisnyear and was a beast

We’re also talking about two totally different levels of talent. Montgomery is going to be drafted in the Top 10. Bingham went undrafted as a Jr.

To be honest, this says more about the perception of Jay and the LSU brand than it does about the roster (which will really piss certain posters off).

I can’t disagree with you.

You are correct.
I'm usually a bit of a pumper, but I think saying this lineup is "stacked" is a stretch.

Sammy, the following is from Beck's bio (see link below). Briefly, Beck put up some nice hitting stats in JUCO his freshman year (slash line of .380/.483/.790). So. there is a slightly larger sample size than just last season for Beck at the plate.
"2022 (Freshman - Grayson College): Played one season at Grayson College in Denison, Texas … On the mound, made 12 appearances (one start) and posted a 7-4 record … Registered a 4.33 ERA (26 ER, 54 IP) with 75 strikeouts … At the plate, put together a slash line of .380/.483/.790 with 10 doubles, two triples and nine home runs … Drove in 34, walked 19 times and stole 11 bases … Helped lead the Vikings to a 38-18 record and a spot in the NJCAA Region 5 semifinals."
