re: I’ve defended Brian Kelly all I can. I’m off that train now. He’s not it.

After one game in season 3?
Hell, I don’t even count season 1, since he walked into a stage 5 shite show.
Whatever you do, don’t jump back on the train later this season.

Other than Saban and Kirby, who exactly is a "big game" coach or is consistently beating ranked opponents?
Sark? He's 6-10 against ranked opponents since he's been at Texas.
Kiffin? He's 3-7 against ranked opponents at Ole Miss.
Ryan Day?
Harbaugh had a pretty abysmal record with ranked opponents until his last two years at Michigan. The wheels are falling off for Norvell at FSU...

Lane Kiffin or Dan Lanning

Imagine being off the train with a guy who’s won 10 games in his first 2 years after inheriting a dumpster fire.
Here’s the truth: Kelly has a lot that he needs to prove but this team is in a better place than it was 3 years ago.
Here’s some more truth, with the expanded playoffs we will eventually make it under Kelly.
Here’s just a bit more truth. An appearance in the playoffs won’t be enough. At some point he will need to win a title.
No coach is going to come to a team that fired two national title coaches and a coach that has back to back 10 win seasons.
We do need to be patient, but we should also expect to see improvements each week.
Last bit of truth. Defense did plenty to win. Offensive playcalling lost the game.

Brian Kelly did not have his team prepared to play...plain and simple. He also failed to make half time adjustments which would have allowed us to attack USC's weaknesses. Nuss shredded them in the first half, so why did we abandon that for a run game that wasn't working? JD5 made this offensive line look way better than they were. He bailed them out consistently.
So where do we go from here BK??? Show us what you are made of...

Expectations should be high for a coach that is making 10 mil a year
Michigan stayed patient with a coach that was making that kind of money. It earned them a national title and a return to the college football elite.
Florida did NOT stay patient with a coach that won them 10 then 11 games and took them to an SEC title game in his third year. Now look at them...

Kiffin hasn't won shite at Ole Miss yet, and here you cucks are anointing him as better than Kelly

BK is Les Miles without the championships
Surely this isn't where we are already. Y'all need to relax. USC is a great team and Riley is a great coach. A couple plays and calls didn't go our way and we caught the bad break.
Its going to happen from time to time and luckily we are now in an era where one loss doesn't mean shite anymore. Quit being doomers and lets go run the table on these bitches.

How so?
Because he beat an A&M team breaking in a new coach?

4 years to rebuild that shite Ed O left. 38 players and bad recruiting. We will win 10 games 3 years in a row.

When is the roster O left him no longer an excuse?
Logically it would be year 4 or 5, given how we didn’t really have a DB room when Kelly got here. Years one and two were filled with portal mercenaries… both major busts and solid contributors. However, this is the first year we’re seeing BK high school recruits really contributing on defense. Part of this is recruiting misses and hiring errors, so he bears most of the blame. But it’s more than fair to say these are residual effects from the coach O debacle.

Kiffin has never won anything, neither has Lanning.
Imagine this board if we were up 7 vs Idaho in the 4th Quarter as the #3 team in the country

Kiffin may have not won anything but he beat BK 2 out of the last 3. Lanning will have a better career than BK, so will Marcus Freeman. And when I say a better career, I don't mean win % with Kelly's numbers inflated from division 2. Lanning has 5 losses by a combined 12 points and 3 of those are to Washington. BK is laughing at our accents all the way to the bank. This redneck is over him!

Most ND fans are happy to see him go, and he didn't win any games there that anyone else couldn't have won. He got mostly slaughtered in big games (Bama/Clemson) Freeman has already proved to be better
Hahahaha
I'm sure Notre Dame fans love losing to the Marshall's and Northern Illinois' of the world every single season at home.
