Theres no reason to leave my best two guns in the holster.

You guarantee that your two best pitchers throw the most innings possible to get to Sunday in the winners bracket and if your bullpen can't beat DBU's decimated bullpen you dont deserve Omaha anyways.

I've already notified Jay, Kade, and Anthony.

I'm glad you asked. The lineup will look familiar, that's all I'm going to say at this time.

Dallas Baptist has 3 legit starters. What if lsu were to lose Saturday to DBU having burned Anderson and Eyanson? Could LSU win the next 3 games without them?

Yeah I keep reading how they will have a decimated bullpen. Well what if they dont?

They have no business losing to DBU with Eyanson on the mound.

I think the only decision being made is which Ace is starting Friday.

A game with Eyanson vs any of DBU’s 3 legit starting pitchers would be closer than you think. This team has a better fielding percentage than lsu, hit for a higher average, and hit 7 more HRs. It’s entirely possible for LSU to lose Saturday vs DBU with Anderson or Eyanson on the bump. Yes, I like LSU’s chances with Anderson or Eyanson vs DBU’s starters and LSU’s home crowd behind them. But what if DBU hits a 2 or 3 run HR and lsu doesn’t. DBU has 3 guys in its lineup hitting over .320 with 14 or more HRs..and Anderson has given up 14 home runs on the year in 15 starts..

Team ERA

LSU 7th
DBU 69th (nice)

We're at home. I'm expecting more of a bloodbath than a loss.

This is baseball and we should be worried, but Eyanson is better than any of their starters - assuming that Borberg is their best.

If we win the first two games, we will not be facing any of their top three pitchers, unless they throw somebody unexpectedly in game 1 and manage to win.

Having said that, their third starter is Micah Bucknam, and we should be able to take him. Of course, I thought the same about Samuel Dutton, earlier this year, and we know how that worked out. Still, I'll take our third game options against their 4th game options, any day.

They are a legit #2 seed. Arguably one of the best in the tournament, but these numbers don't mean as much to me because they played a CUSA schedule. CUSA would have been a one-bid league this year if DBU won its conference tournament.

Whether they face Anderson or Eyanson, that will be a significant step up from what they are facing week in and week out in conference play.

I see that DBU doesn’t have a strong bullpen outside of two guys. But one of their starters could go 6 or 7 innings and then they could hand the ball over to their closer who has 54 strikeouts and 16 walks in 38 innings on the year or bring in another starter like LSU did with Eyanson vs Ole Miss in the SEC tournament.

You want to guarantee victory in games 1 and 2 as much as possible. Starting your two best pitchers does that.
