I believed the work was being done to get him, but I still felt it wasn't likely given that he just got to NC State. This is some really impressive work by the administration yet again. LSU Athletics is about to peak very hard.

Every move LSU was making (or in some cases not making) was leading to the inevitable conclusion. Tate and Woodward out. Rousse in. Mallet in. Schoryer being a candidate to join the athletic dept (now also in). ZERO action or statement about McMahon following the season when every other school in a similar situation either fired their poor performing coach or announced the coach was returning for next season.
The people who remained defiant did so out of their own self-interest and in willful denial of ALL of the evidence showing this was coming.

Of course it "wasn't likely" 2, 3, or 4 years ago. But you had many defiantly saying it wasn't going to happen in the face of continuously building evidence to the contrary over the last several months. THOSE are the ones being ridiculed.
