It's sad to see LSU and the ticket office sold their soul to Stubhub

The LSU Ticket Marketplace doesn't exist anymore. It's now Stubhub.com. It's a shame because the Marketplace was one of a kind in the SEC. No other University had a re-sell site run by the University. The Marketplace was a great place to buy secure face value tickets. Now people can charge anything they want for the tickets. Good for the seller I suppose but it hurts the buyers.

The prices for the Oklahoma game are laughable.

Can't the seller still offer their tickets for a reasonable price?

They can but that's unlikely for big games. It was a great place to buy face value tickets for the big games. It's a disappointment because it was a really innovative idea no one else had in the SEC.

LSU Ticket Marketplace

This has been a joke the last few years. The markups have been worse than stub hub and Stub hub can at least facilitate electronic tix.

But the ticket prices were capped. Which was nice. LSU made a butt load off of fees so I wonder how much Stubhub is paying them.

We still have the Ticket Exchange on Tigerdroppings.

I found out last minute I was able to get off work and go to LSU-Bama in 2014.

I got two tix off of the Ticket Exchange. They were on the East Sideline, lower bowl, for 200 a piece.

LSU already had a one of a kind site they made a lot of easy money off of ticket re-sales, but hey LSU can do no wrong in Mickey Goldmill's eyes. We need more ads on the scoreboards.

Was a very simple way for season ticket holders to sell their tickets for face value. Sure lsu took a chunk of the sale, but it was still convenient.

Dude, season ticket holders with good seats can't get a fraction of their money for the games they do not attend, and often have to give away or eat the "shite game" tickets. Heck, this last year, I couldn't get close to selling the Auburn tickets for face value, and with TAF fees, the real cost to me was 2.x times the face value.

The stadium expansion was the killer. For parking and for attempts to sell your tickets.

Season ticket holders will probably only be able to sell their Bama tickets for the real cost (or higher), but the reason one gets season tickets is to go to such games.

Season tickets are no longer a good way to profit for LSU fans. Terrible

If you buy the tickets, plan on going.

Most of us do plan to go to every game, or as many as possible. I used to be able to drive over from Houston for every game, but since I take care of my elderly mother, I make about 4 games instead of all. I used the ticket marketplace to sell the tickets if I didn't give them away and having the buyer know the ticket was secure and at face value was fine with me.

Josh, we all have things come up, so cool it with your comment about us being terrible.

Season Tickets are a terrible investment ... There was a time when you wanted to get a couple extra pair for your children when they grew up... but the crazy extra cost on top of the tickets make them worthless to keep (add) ...

Add what have they done to the stadium to make a fans stay better ?? Nothing outside of adding a bigger scoreboard and speakers but that was mostly because of a South Endzone upper deck ...

If its no longer worth it, then season ticket holders will either eat the cost, or no longer buy the season tickets. Then they go to someone else on the wait list. Individual game tickets aren't that tough to get to most games anyway.
